Begich, like Landrieu, would have done better had Keystone come up for a vote and not been thwarted by the Reid agenda. And Schweizer supported it, and Mnt would have surely made up for the loss in NC.

Mnt and AK like their oil, and Dems can win.

Keystone would've made no difference for Begich, since he wasn't personally known as a strong advocate or supporter of the legislation. Landrieu tried to make the Keystone vote all about her, so for her had it passed it might've helped, but only at the margins: certainly not enough to make up a 12-point deficit.

Of course, after the election, KEYSTONE didn't make that much of a difference, but we don't know if it would have been voted on in Sept or Oct, right before the election along with the Oct surprise of having released the torture report, released earlier would have helped the Dems.

Remember, Landrieu lost by 12, but she was suppose to lose alot more and the Dems didn't drop any money for advertising.

At any rate, I wanted Schweizer to run, and if Daines didn't run, it was gonna make a bit more difference in that particular senate race.
