How could Kerry have won Ohio?

In 2004, Kerry only needed Ohio to win the election.  I was wondering how this could have happened and I thought the forum might be able to provide some input.

Any ideas?  Maybe a different VP candidate?

Vega:
I'm not really sure if a VP candidate could tip the scales enough for a Kerry win.

Perhaps mentioning how many jobs Ohio lost under Bush would do it, really drive that home with commercials.

Maybe having a stronger candidate at the 2002 Secretary of State election?  After what happened in Florida in 2000 Democrats should have been more prepared for similar incidents in states that could decide the election.
