Any time prior to the time I started third grade (late 2001/early 2002).  That year was when 9/11 hit, which was certainly a traumatic event for me (as well as most other Gen Y folks).  My aunt and uncle also moved to Texas that year.  They had lived in the Chicago area before that, so we saw them and my cousins frequently.  Those are some of the happiest memories of my childhood.  When they moved away, I was heartbroken, and I'm still scarred by it today.

For the most part, it seems to just be getting better.

2006-2008.

Really good times.  I had bad existential anxiety back then, but when it wasn't getting to me life was great.  Joining my fraternity in 2007 was friggin awesome.

Also, December 2013-March 2014 was a peak time in my life.  I was actually enjoying being in the Navy at training up in Great Lakes.  So disappointing, as I heard life got even better out in the fleet.  Yea... not even close.  Oh well.

I'm not really nostalgic for any time period. It does feel that each year gets better. I wouldn't want to go back and fix a bad decision I made, because then I wouldn't have learned from it. And I would much rather have made the mistake early than now.

Fifth grade, when I truly couldn't give a sh*t about anything but Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Oh yeah, and the Sox broke The Curse. And the Patriots won the Super Bowl.

Not really any of it because I'm a miserable bastard.

But if I had to pick 2008-09... Steelers win another Super Bowl. Pens win another Cup. I meet my intended... Most is right in the world...

Of course, Mr. Modem.  Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Founded in 1878 by myself and my like-minded friends who wanted a private, religious college experience.  Ah, those where the days, my friend, we'd thought they'd never end.  We'd sing and dance forever and a day.

Miss those times.  Cry

There are two years that really stick out for me: 2004 and 2009 (when I was 17 and 22). Both years had the two best summers of my life. High school wasn't all that great, but senior year was pretty good overall (which I started in Fall 2004). Overall, those were the years when I really felt like my life was really going well and on the right track. If I could turn back the clock to either of those years, I would do it without hesitation.

Well if I've already peaked that really does spell a rather depressing future for me, doesn't it...

Senate pages can only serve semester-long appointments.
