Senators Map:



Blue - two republican senators
Green - one senator of each party
Red - two democratic senators

States with two republican senators: 16,861,517 (58.2%) R. 11,692,088 (40.3%) O.
States with one senator of each party: 22,972,201 (49.9%) O. 22,404,838 (48.6%) R.
States with two democratic senators: 30,968,301 (57.7%) O. 21,644,416 (40.3%) R

States with two republican senators: 14 Romney states, 0 Obama states
States with one senator of each party: 9 Obama states, 8 Romney states
States with two democratic senators: 17 Obama states, 2 Romney states

Most Pro-Romney states with two democratic senators: West Virginia (62.3% R, 35.5% O), Montana (55.4% R, 41.7% O), Virginia (51.2% O, 47.3% R), Colorado (51.5% O, 46.1% R), and Minnesota (52.7% O, 45.0% R).

Most Pro-Obama states with two republican senators: Georgia (53.3% R, 45.5% O), Arizona (53.7% R, 44.6% O), and South Carolina (54.6% R, 44.1% O).

Most Pro-Obama states with one senator of each party: Illinois (57.6% O, 40.7% R), Maine (56.3% O, 41.0% R), Wisconsin (52.8% O, 45.9% R), Iowa (52.0% O, 46.2% R), and New Hampshire (52.0% O, 46.4% R).

Most Pro-Romney states with one senator of each party: Arkansas (60.6% R, 36.9% O), North Dakota (58.3% R, 38.7% O), South Dakota (57.9% R, 39.9% O), Louisiana (57.8% R, 40.6% O), and Alaska (54.8% R, 40.8% O).

Sorry if this belonged more in the presidential election results section, but I thought it would probably be best to discuss here. Anyway, this will change come next year, but its interesting to see with the layout now.

2014 saw a gain of 6 blue states, a net loss of 3 green states, and a loss of 3 red states on the map from 2012.

States with 2 Republican Senators: 22,037,821 (56.8%) Romney. 16,164,252 (41.7%) Obama.
States with a Senator of each party: 20,263,246 (50.7%) Obama. 19,099,360 (47.8%) Romney.
States with 2 Democratic Senators: 29,205,092 (58.4%) Obama. 19,773,590 (39.6%) Romney.

States with 2 Republican Senators: 19 Romney states, 1 Obama state
States with a Senator of each party: 9 Obama states, 5 Romney states
