Myself and others are involved in scanning old books, and some of them happen to do with US history from a Marxist perspective. I have permission from the publishers when I do scan them (when said publishing house/copyright still exists, that is.) Some books, however, I find online.

Another book has been scanned: Gene Debs: The Story of a Fighting American

A short 1943 history of the US populist movement, as well as a three-volume Soviet history of the US labor movement covering 1918-1980, are en route in the mail to be scanned as well.

I'm reading this now; it's quite interesting to have this perspective. I appreciate you scanning and uploading all these books and hope you keep posting links in this thread. Thank you!

Anything in particular that stands out to you in their interpretations/analysis?

There are some other books the Soviets put out on US history, the problem is that they're either unavailable to buy or whomever is selling them puts them at absurd prices.

There's also some other works on US history put out by International Publishers (aka the CPUSA's publishing arm) but I need permission from them to scan their books, and I don't always get it. For example, I asked for permission to scan a 1937 book on the Reconstruction period but was denied it.

I found a short pamphlet online from 1944 titled War Elections: 1862-1864 put out by the CPUSA, so I added it to the list.

I am also going to obtain and scan a Soviet biography of Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Life and Death of Martin Luther King has now been scanned and put up on the first post. Also added a pamphlet giving a Marxist view of the Alien and Sedition Acts.

Early next year I hope to get scanned some CPUSA pamphlets, two in particular: one dealing with how the Republican Party came into being, and another discussing the establishment of the USA's very first labor-based political organizations in the 1820s and 30s.

I've now scanned The Bolshevik Revolution: Its Impact on American Radicals, Liberals, and Labor which is about the widespread support and sympathy the Bolsheviks initially enjoyed in American society. The book covers the period from the October Revolution to January 1921.
