Eyewitness News 4/Survey USA New Mexico Gubernatorial Poll
Martinez (R) 56%
King (D) 38%
Undecided 6%

Martinez leads among Anglos (+30) and Hispanics (+10).  King leads among Native Americans (+15).

The poll is almost certainly of likely voters.  There is no information in the article about the number of voters polled, dates of the poll or MoE.  We'll likely have to wait for the crosstabs to be posted on SUSA's website to find out that information.

I still think King will break 40%.

I told everyone it wasn't competitive.  OC was the only one who didn't believe me.

Martinez was perfectly beatable, but like most midterm Democrats, Gary King is a nutless halfwit who campaigned on the idea that Martinez was more of a Tejana than a Chicana (because he thinks it's a 1882 land dispute and that matters). He also distanced himself from Obama for no reason because he thinks that's what you're supposed to do in 2014 even though this is New Mexico.

Martinez is against gay marriage which New Mexicans support. Martinez is against legalization of marijuana and even medical marijuana, which New Mexicans support. Martinez vetoed four minimum wage increases in four years from the state legislature. None of these have been mentioned once by the King campaign.

There are so many issues King could've campaigned on that would've soundly beaten Martinez but he was too stupid to do so.

I'm not planning on voting today in protest because none of my races are competitive or interesting but I definitely support Susana over King because he'd be an awful governor.

THE CHICA IS BEING HELD UNDER 60%! GLORIOUS NEWS!

If someone had used that nickname for a female Democrat whose last name was Martinez, you'd probably call them a racist.

If krazen, KCDem, Andrew Dice Clay, etc., did probably not. If a sincere person did? Yes.

Tejanos in the NM sense is a boogeyman character used to describe an Hispanic who is really a double agent that is attempting to steal our water and natural gas reserves for the white Texan man.

It is the New Mexican equivalent of an Uncle Tom. Only older generations believe it is a thing.
