Not shocked. This had all the markings of McConnell pulling away when the DSCC cut funding, only to go back in when it was allegedly closer.
It looks like that was fool's gold. Both parties have those states. It usually happens with Republicans in New Jersey or Pennsylvania in Presidential elections. The race tightens, everyone gets excited and then it goes back to where it should be.
As I stated earlier, given Obama's EPA policy that the residents feel is gunning for the coal industry, I am not shocked. A Democrat shouldn't win in Kentucky on the state-wide Federal level.
