I can't wait to see the IL exit polls. Some preliminary maps show Rauner winning every county? (!?!?!?!)

But Cook.

That was not pretty to watch.

The question is, will LePage's coattails sweep Bruce Poliquin into Congress?

And the answer is looking like a yes.

"LePage Coatails" is a phrase that makes me want to vomit.

Among GOV & HOUSE, only MN remaines blue in the MID-WEST!
And Missouri.
But yeah, Midwest is trending heavily Republican.

On the other hand Rauner gave a very nice speech, including comments reaching out to the Dem leaders of the House and Senate.

Fox calls Brownback in Kansas.

Looks like 5 of the 6 "tea party" incumbents survived.  WI, MI, KS, FL and ME. Only loss PA.

Seems like Dems will sweep all statewide offices in California again. At least one state still has some sense. Hopefully they keep their supermajorities in the state assembly too.

Baker is going to declare victory, Coakley is going home without talking to her supporters.

IDK, Pete Peterson is ahead right now, and Swearingen is within 2.

Classic Coakley. Ugh. I still feel unclean about voting for her, but I would have felt really unclean about voting for Baker.

Complete disaster for the Democrats. Pretty incredible stuff.

I knew it'd be bad but I didn't see this coming.

I wonder if we're entering a cycle where Democrats will always dominate Presidential elections and Republicans will always dominate midterms (barring major unforseen circumstances - like another 9/11)...

This may a bit macabre, but I can't deny that's it's hilarious that Kashkari only won ONE county in all of California.

Foley is running about 14,000 votes behind his 2010 performance in the 131 100% reporting towns. If he's ahead by less than 2,000 with about two thirds of the urban vote left to report, I don't think he can net the 20,000 votes in the big cities that he would need for a win, let alone match his 2010 result.

Since I'm about to doze off at the keyboard, I predict that Malloy will win reelection with a margin of between 10,000 and 15,000 votes. Good night!

A possible quasi pickup for the Democrats, Walker is up 50-47 in exit poll.
