Can we think of a single time in the history of the Forum when the Demohacks believed a GOP internal to be more accurate than a Dem internal in the same race (released on the same day!)?

Lol - you guys are unbelievable.

A poll shows Brown up 1 in NH? Throw it in the trash.
A poll shows Begich up 10 (?!?) in Alaska? MUST BE GOOD,DEMS GUNNA KEEP THE SENATE

Alaska polling "can't be trusted" unless it yields great news for the Democrats.

Did anyone say they believed this poll was accurate?

This is clearly a giant outlier, even regardless of pollster reputation or any other factor, it should be ignored for that reason alone.

Well, Dr. Scholl, Lief, and OC all seem to take the poll as accurate to an extent.

Thinking Begich has a small chance to win?  Reasonable.
Rooting for Begich to win, partly on account of schadenfreude?  Reasonable.
Being facetiously overconfident in order to bait Republicans into going nuts?  Reasonable.
Thinking a poll that's 13-15% different from the average of polls is correct?  Cray-cray.

These are all hacks that shouldn't be compared to normal dems.

OC is a robot and Lief was clearly joking (the "will be called for Begich as soon as the polls close" comment should've given that away...)

So that makes 1 person.

I gotta admit, though.  These guys got balls.  Remember when Rasmussen recalled that Kansas poll?  Not only do they release it, they double down!

As if we're actually supposed to believe this! Either it's a ploy to increase republican turnout, or it's the worst sample in the history of forever. Either way, any attempt at portraying this as accurate is inexcusable dem hackery.

And also, even if this race is a 10 point margin of victory for either side, it still won't be called right away. The networks of today like to see ~13 point margins for an immediate call (and then there's MO, in which you need a win bigger than McCaskill's 16 pointer to get an immediate call).

This is the biggest joke of a poll ever and a good chunk of people here are taking it seriously

403 is not a lot of respondents for a poll, hence the large MOE at 4.88%. 800 is usually the magic number. Then again Alaska has such a small population, who knows.

With populations of more than a few thousand it shouldn't make much difference - a sample size of 400 is pretty low.

I'm not saying this is impossible because it's Alaska we're talking about... But I find it very hard to believe, unfortunately.

Uh no.

But it is Alaska and we really won't have a clue what's happening in this race until election night.

I'm not sure why the blue avatars are using this thread as their "courageous stand" against Dem hackery considering only two people have believed this poll (one of whom may or may not be an android). If you're going to rail against Dem hackery, there are many better threads to target than this one.

Joke poll.

But this and the other new one likely show that Sullivan is not walking away with it and Begich (like Udall and Braley) have the potential to kick the pollsters and pundits asses on election day with a surprise win.

Heck, this mid-term would be really interesting and competetive right now if Schweitzer and Herseth-Sandlin jumped in in MT and SD, with only WV being a lost cause.
