Yep and it'll be the best thing for Republicans in 2006.

Senator Tom Kean, Jr.  It has a nice ring to it.

You're getting the picture.

Maybe he'll wake up and appoint Andrews, who deserves it and will win. Probably not.

No one, because the seat will not be vacant until Senator-elect Kean is sworn in on January 3, 2007.

Why would it be vacant once Senator-elect Kean was sworn in?

If Corzine has any spine, this will be our next Senator:

Won't happen and he really is the only candidate that can keep it lean Dem. Menendez vs. Kean in 2006. I can't wait. Democrats might have their day in PA but seeing an NJ GOP pickup will be pretty nice.

I actually think Corzine might put more of his money towards the Senate race next year than for the position of governor that he's actually running for. It's going to be really pathetic. I hate the ads we get, because almost every politician in the state except Andrews and Codey is total scum.

It would be much better if Corzine hadn't done this in the first place.

Not vacant. And I assume he means that Corzine won't win the governorship (which I think is a tad delusional).

I don't know too much about NJ politics, so I won't say who Corzine WILL appoint, but I will say that I hope he does appoint Pallone.  He's quite a big name in the House of Representatives, a good speaker, and could help keep the seat Democratic in the next Senatorial election.

Menendez. I see Andrews as Lt. Gov. if the position is created.

Why the hell would Andrews want Lt. Gov.?
