It's worth noting that this pollster has consistently shown LePage doing better than other polls conducted around the same time.

Michaud is a mainstream Democrat, so it's not like LePage is a balanced alternative or anything. Apparently, Republicans will support anyone, regardless of how extreme they are.

Just curious, whom would you consider an "extreme" Democrat?  Do they even exist, or extremism only reserved for Republicans?

Are you really trying to argue that the blue dog Michaud is an extremist? Paul LePage on the other hand is indisputably a Tea Party extremist.
