Indeed, hell no.  The Winthrop Poll taken at this same point in 2010 had Haley leading by only +9.  Possibly you might be thinking of a slew of Rasmussen polls during the summer of 2010 that had Haley with a larger lead, but those were Rasmussen polls after all.

She doesn't have to be formidable, she merely has to win, and she will.  As I pointed out in the thread on the other poll, South Carolina politics is quite inelastic.  It would have taken either a major failure or a major scandal to dethrone Queen Haley and install King Vincent in her place and neither has happened.

Democrats have a pretty solid base of around 40-45% in South Carolina, it's getting over 50% that is the big hurdle.
