Rounds will win, but that's seriously a bad performance for him.

Weiland should have dropped out long ago.

Too bad that SHS did not run instead of Weiland and convince Pressler to stay out.

I think Pressler will surpass Weiland, and it will be a two man, race. How fitting it would be if Pressler or Orman decided senate. Pressler would be in Dem camp.

If Weiland and Pressler could get their poop in a group, they could actually swing this away from Rounds. I know it's too late for Weiland to be removed from the ballot, but if he comes out and says, "Hey, don't vote for me," that could swing it.

And who is Howie?

Former Republican state senator running to Rounds's right as the "true conservative choice."

Nielson Brothers has a terrible track record. This poll is junk. This race is the biggest unknown on the map.

But better late than never. Unfortunately he'll probably be the Kendrick Meek of 2014. Ugh.

Didn't another poll show Weiland doing better than Pressler head-to-head?

Also, Weiland is the "big money thinks it can't lose" type of candidate.  These guys never want to drop out.

Weiland needs to follow Chad Taylor's lead.

I'd much rather Pressler drop out. He's raised virtually no money so his standing is almost entirely based on residual goodwill, whereas Weiland continues to rake in serious amounts of dough (at least for South Dakota) and is campaigning vigorously.

Yeah Weiland is a real candidate running a real campaign. Pressler is not.

The thing is, Pressler's numbers have grown, while Weiland, in spite of his vigorous fundraising and campaigning, has remained still. I may be biased because I think Pressler would be a great addition to the Senate, but I do hope Weiland drops out and gives him a shot. However, I really doubt it and I think this is still Rounds' race to lose.

It's too late for someone to actually drop out. Now, either Weiland or Pressler could endorse the other and run a "don't vote for me" campaign, but both names would still remain on the ballot, so the one running the "don't vote for me" campaign would still get at least 6-7%.

Do people really believe a Dem would be competitive here in a 2-way race against Rounds this year?

Pressler doesn't have as much money as Weiland, if I'm correct, so it's not the same situation as Kansas. Orman had the money to play, whereas Taylor didn't.
