Interesting that a lot more people say that I am like their parents then say that I am like them. I guess my views must be old-fashioned.

Dazzleman, your dad sounds like he was somewhat like Angus. Angus has admitted that his economic views change depending on how well his stocks are doing (i.e., the wealthier he is, the more conservative he is economically).

As for me, my dad is like Nclib most of the time, though also displays some jfern-like tendencies, (he thinks that Diebold rigged Ohio, and that Jeb stole Florida in 2000, for example), and my mother (last I spoke with her, anyway) resembles Jake.

Ohio doesn't use Diebold machines.

My mother.. well who on here is moderate economically and extremely right wing socially?  Maybe Jake?

Is your mother a "religious?" What does she think about the visits you pay to prostitutes?

Dad: Bob, hands down.

Mom: I don't really know my mother's political beliefs.  They seem to change very, very frequently.

Yes, that's a good point.  He is a free thinker like angus, and not really reliable for either party in my opinion.  It's difficult to talk politics with him, though, because he becomes upset if you don't agree with him, so I generally avoid the topic with him.

You are, in a lot of ways, a pre-1960s liberal Democrat, so I think you are old-fashioned in that respect.  You seem more like a Hubert Humphrey "happy warrior" type than the contemporary liberals are.  Unlike many contemporary liberal Democrats, your view of the world doesn't seem to be centered on negativism and hate.

Howdy!

Seems I'm the odd man out here. My parents couldn't care less about politics! They vote, but never talk about it...I have no idea who they voted for!
