LA: SCF: Maness faring better than Cassidy in runoff

I can't believe that Landrieu leads Cassidy by 6, yet only leads Maness by 4. Maness would not be a stronger candidate than Cassidy in a runoff. The only explanation I can see for this is that Maness lacks high name recognition at this point, so he was viewed as more of a generic Republican by poll respondents.

What's funny is that Ken Cuccinelli signed it as "Ken Cuccinelli II" - which made me think this was someone else, or someone trying to be him.

Perhaps it's to make him sound way more stately than he actually is. But you do have a point; at least if I were him, I'd try to obscure my identity as much as possible.
