I don't know why someone would eat pancakes when they could have waffles.

Had them today at Cracker Barrel with my best friend. Can't go wrong with any kind of pancake.

Quite inferior to waffles. Texture FTW.

Not used to the US-style ones. Our pancakes are either made in the frying pan (usually on Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day) and have quite a different taste and texture, or they are 'Scotch pancakes' (essentially smaller and somewhat sweeter versions of US-style pancakes) which are toasted or eaten cold.

Depends on fluffiness. I don't really like thick, fluffy pancakes because they're always too dry. Crisp corners make them so much better though.

They're fine, I guess, but up there for the least important breakfast food.  Plus they are kind of hard to make correctly.

Yes, technically an English pancake is a subspecies of crêpe. Welsh pancakes are heavier though.

Among the best. Although Irish/UK pancakes > American Pancakes (what American call pancakes are still pretty good... but pancakes are not a breakfast food).

Would pancakes make a good running mate for Mike Enzi if he ran in 2016?
