Did the democrats really have nobody better than Charlie Crist to run against Scott?

A former CFO and gubernatorial nominee who lost a Congressional race to an attorney despite massively outspending him, a guy who hadn't served in the State Senate since 2006 (losing a gubernatorial primary in 2006 and on the losing ticket as Lt. Gov in 2010, and served as FDP chair), a big-city mayor previously indicted and suspended on suspicion of election fraud and noteworthy for his ban on feeding the homeless, a couple guys who served as mayors of a major city for less than a full term, a sitting US Senator, and Pam Iorio, who I don't think wanted to run. So yeah, we really didn't.

Wow, Crist really f***ed this up didn't he? Its hard to believe he lead by 12 at one point.

16 points actually. But its not Crist's fault that liberals are attacking America with obamacare.

Don't you mean Cristcare?

No, Charlie Crist never voted for Obamacare. Neither did Alex Sink. The voters thrashed Sink anyway.

Jolly won by 1.8%, hardly a thrashing. If you want to see a real thrashing, pick up a local newspaper on November 5th. Wink

The more relevant story with Sink isn't her narrow loss, it's how the party completely ed up fielding a candidate for the general.

Crosstabs look promising for Crist he's only winning blacks 72-15 and Dems 76-13. Needless to say there's no way Scott is winning 15% of blacks, it'll look more like 92-4 on election day same with Dem votes.

Don't you remember "Chain Gang Charlie"?

The one who extended early voting hours and restored voting rights for non-violent felons? The first Republican governor to ever attend a NAACP convention? Yeah, no.
