So a little background on this.

In 2014, everything was going to hell in my life. We had no income, no vehicle and nearly became homeless. One night, I was watching Craig Ferguson and he just randomly pulled out this table cloth and started to slowly pretend to clean his desk while this Jazz like music began to play in the background. I had also recently watched Casablanca for the first time in several years, and those two together created the inspiration, hence the references and mentions to them.

Basically, I wanted to do something fun before I fairly likely got disconnected from the Atlas for an extended period of time and a shaddy gin joint sort of hit all the points of noire, macabre comedy that conveyed my mood at the time. Also, nothing brings people together like alcohol. I had intended, like in the Midwest of old with their cake pics for new members, to dig up pics of the requested drinks. But I was not able to do so before losing my internet access.

At this point, perhaps reviving it will provide a bit of tension relieving lark.

Sitting in the corner is a man trying hard to look anonymous - perhaps too hard.  Having managed to nurse his second pint for possibly half an hour longer than acceptable, he was about to try and stealthily return to the bar for a third, hopefully without anyone recognising him.  But then he saw a familiar face; an almost... Presidential figure talking to the barman.  Pretending to read the menu of terrible sides that no one ever ordered, he listened in to the President's conversation.  Then he heard it: the killer line.

"What a scoop!", the newsman thought to himself.  Instantly, he turned to leave, already excited about the prospects of this story; the fame and fortune that he could receive.  Too excited indeed: as he walked straight into a stool left abandoned in the middle of the corridor, and went head over heels.  Everyone turned their head.

"Man, I hope they don't recognise me!", the man hoped, "that would be rather embarrassing".
