Los Angeles County, California:

Note: Unlike this forum,

I use: RED-Republican, Blue-Democrat, Green-Independent/Other

1904 T. Roosevelt>50%(R)
1908 Taft> 50%(R)
1912: T. Roosevelt>40%(I)
1916: Hughes >40% (R)
1920: Harding>70% (R)
1924: Coolidge >60% (R)
1928: Hoover >70% (R)
1932: Roosevelt > 50% (D)
1936: Roosevelt > 60% (D)
1940: Roosevelt > 50% (D)
1944: Roosevelt > 50% (D)
1948: Truman > 40% (D)
1952: Eisenhower >50% (R)
1956: Eisenhower > 50% (R)
1960: Kennedy > 40% (D)
1964: Johnson > 50% (D)
1968: Nixon > 40% (R)
1972: Nixon > 50% (R)
1976: Carter > 40% (D)
1980: Reagan > 50% (R)
1984: Reagan >50% (R)
1988: Dukakis > 50% (D)
1992: Clinton > 50% (D)
1996: Clinton > 50% (D)
2000: Gore > 60% (D)
2004: Kerry > 60% (D)

2008: Obama > 60% (D)
2012: Obama > 60% almost 70% (D)

Of Note: I am a resident of Los Angeles City (4th Council Hollywood) The city does generally vote at least 8- 10% more democratic then the countywide vote in modern times. I am noting a democratic victory in the city by both 1972 McGovern (D) and 1984 Mondale (D) despite both losing the county wide vote.

What source are you using? Just by using this site, I can tell most of those recent ones are wrong. Are you doing the city of Los Angeles?

You were commenting before I was done posting the final version. Of Note, Los Angeles City does generally vote at least 10% more democratic then the countywide vote in any given election of the past 50 or so years. I am a resident in the city. I am noting a democratic victory in the city by both McGovern and Mondale despite both losing the county wide vote.
