Thunder shall fall from the sky
Lava shall be poured by the underworld
Empty souls shall shake in fear
As the power of the gods comes by

Sacred and secret creatures shall be seen
By those even who are blind
The highest to show their power divine
While I drink a full glass of wine

OK, I hope I've got your attention now.

I can see that most of the posts here are either "Ask Me" type or related to modern religions; but I wanted to talk about ancient religions and myths in this topic. What is your opinion about them? What do you think they reflected? Do you think they have a future? How similar or different are they from modern religions? ... OK, I think that's enough questions. The point is I want to talk about ancient religions and myths here.

Just a little fun fact before my actual answer: the last part of your... poem? It reminded me of this xD:

Anyway, as someone who basically created his own religious beliefs, I worked out to add some mythology to it, it really makes it more fun and motivating. And I don't really agree with the argument that modern religions are more "advanced". I mean, we are the same kind of humans we were back then, right? And both ancient and modern culture (including religion, of course) are just different ways in which the same humanity is reflected. Smiley
