O'Malley got a negative approval? That's weird.

Also, what's the love for Beshear and Beebe?

I think the reason why Beebe got such a high approval rating is because there were many Democrats and Republicans (myself included) who voted FF for him. I was also very surprised myself when O'Malley got a net negative approval rating.

Atlas hates Rick Scott, yet it appears that he will get another term if trends continue.

I agree with most of the rankings but think that we were too harsh on a lot of the Republicans.  The Democrat ratings were about right.

I think O'Malley was spurned due to his quixotic Presidential speculation.

I'm slightly surprised that Chafee was positive to be honest.

No surprise that the Dem governors got significantly higher grades from the People's Republic of the Atlas Forum.

I'm still surprised that "muh Hispanics" beat out the "Republican Officeholder=HP" trend in regards to Sandoval.

You could argue that about Haslam as well, but he also got an "HP" vote.

Although to be fair, Haslam was only 2 votes away from earning a net positive approval rating, and was the least negative of the negative governors.

Pretty ridiculous how little credit some Dems here give Cuomo. I mean, I gave him an HP, but he isn't that bad as to only call him barely better than Rick Perry and somehow worse than Bryant?!

As for my rankings, I gave 18 FF's and 32 HP's. 1 FF was for a Republican and 4 HPs were for Democrats.

This was very much a freedom series. I was pretty shocked how well Chafee did and how awful O'Malley, Patrick and McAuliffe ended up doing on the Democratic side. For Republicans, I guess the uncontroversial Governors or Governors who people barely know here got FFs while those with more familiarity are near the bottom. I would have thought Corbett would have done worse than Scott, to.

Well with Democrats like him, who needs the NYGOP?

Pretty ridiculous how little credit some Dems here give Cuomo. I mean, I gave him an HP, but he isn't that bad as to only call him barely better than Rick Perry and somehow worse than Bryant?!

Brownbackian tax cuts to the rich, selling out the party (which led to campaign finance reform, the DREAM Act, and a plethora of other bills dying), and globally not giving a sh*t about anyone but himself puts him in the lower echelon.

I had no clue what Phil Bryant did (normal), but apparently he's literal human garbage so I'll have to edit my list. Still not as bad as putting the man who made Obamacare of all things succeed in a red state below him, though.

With WFP's endorsement though, Cuomo will have to live up to his end up the bargain of gaining back Democratic control of the NY Senate and passing a DREAM Act and minimum wage bill. Don't get me wrong, his socially liberal accomplishments don't override his slashes to school funding in return to help the big bans and most wealthy out, but I just found it shocking how low you put Cuomo on the list. I may have put him a little too high on the list, myself.

And yep, Bryant's vile, hateful trash and he can thank it on having nowhere close to as much media spotlight as Christie, Walker, or Brownback. For Harry's sake, if Bryant doesn't get a serious Tea Party challenger, than the best hope is Hood runs to possibly knock him out of office.

I don't buy his promise to the Democratic Shills. Actions speak louder than words, and his nomination of the most staunchly anti-immigration Democrat of last Congress's cycle as his running mate speaks to me a hell of a lot more than a promise he made to the "Working Families" Party, and Fredo de Blasio's endorsement of the Republicrat Caucus over two bona fide progressives over it just shows he's more committed to staying on Cuomo's good side than the cause of the left-wing.

Right now, because of Andrew Cuomo, the New York Democratic Party is an economically centre-right party, and the only reason I would have supported him in 2010, even with hindsight is because his opponent literally wanted to enact concentration camps for welfare recipients. Obviously he's not as bad as Carl Paladino, and you're absolutely right that he's better than a neo-segregationist.

Seeing as the only viable left-wing alternative can't keep his dick in his pants(and de Blasio even had Snowstalker of all people fooled for a little while), I don't blame SWE for being a socialist. If I grew up having to deal with right-wing Democrats all my life, I'd probably be a full blown pinko too.

Your looking at the "my votes" section. That is how I, RR1997, voted in these polls, not the forum as a whole. Go look at the "In order from most liked to least liked" section, and the map. I did label Walker as an HP, because that is how the forum voted.
