No, and unless the trend of this poll stops, I'm going to go put on an independent avatar.

Bottom option.

Certain ideologies I despise...but they're not limited to one party or the other.

Option 2, obviously.  Most Democrats around here like to call me a Republican, anyway.  Tongue

Nah, I used to be a member of the opposing party.   One of my relatves was, a few decades back, a fairly major member of the other party (though I understand he's not too pleased with Bush and the religious right either)

Besides, hate is a deeply personal thing.  To hate someone you've never met nor has directly harmed you or those you care about strikes me as deeply shallow.   I would say that I very much disagree with certain policies, and disapprove of some of the people who advocate policies I dislike, and act in a manner I consider highly immoral or hypocritial - but that's all more of an intelectual disdain than a heart pounding hatered.

I hate the drunk driver who put my niece in the hospital.  Bush and the neocons I merely disapprove of.

Yes, I hate the Religious Party.  I was actually rather fond of the GOP back in its Rockefeller Republican days.

Hate is a strong word.

I hate many Democratic politicians in a political sense, but not really personally.  And I have suspicion and dislike for many of the ideas and policies pushed by these people.

I also have suspicion and dislike for many of the interest groups that form the core of the Democratic party.  Not the individual people so much as the ideas they represent and policies they espouse.

But I wouldn't go so far as to use hate.  I'll leave that to the tolerant liberals.

Course not, there are good Democrats and then there is Nancy Pelosi's "Caucus".   I also feel sorry that Democrats have so much hate.  Maybe if you didn't, you'd win elections.

Wow, Democrats, this is depressing. The discourse is what makes this country great. What are those who are voting "yes" thinking?

Unfortunately there are too many self-styled Democrats of the MoveOn. Org type who would rather 'hate' than 'think.'

I don't hate the Republican party as a hole, but I despise certain ideologies.

-----

I am surprised at the results of this poll, indicating that Democrats hate Republicans more than visa versa.

The Party of Lincoln v. the Party of...that:

Yes, I hate the Religious Party.  I was actually rather fond of the GOP back in its Rockefeller Republican days.

I don't despise any party, except those uber-Christian Cult Parties.
