Option 4. It would be bizarre, but at least within the realm of the possible.

Socially maybe. If Mary saves his life, maybe he'll go on a pro gay marraige speaking tour for her. More likely than the other stuff.

Though Walter's young, he could join a union.

Option 3.  Recently, my grandmother, who's voted Republican in every presidential election except 1968 (Wallace) and perhaps 1960 (the independent slate?  not sure.), was talking about 2008 and said, "ya know, that Hillary sure is smart.  I think I'd vote for her."  So if it can happen for one, maybe it'll happen for millions. Cheesy

She would be about the only southerner to support Hillary but not Bill. I'm sure a few people in blue states (the republican elitists who came over to the Dems, Philly suburb type people) will support Hillary having voted against Bill.

If she's voting on intelligence, how did she end up voting for Bush these last two times against intellectual snobs?

I don't know...she's old.
But I couldn't help but gleam when she said she likes Hillary.  Maybe she likes her because she's a woman.

Goldwater became a liberal? I've never heard that before. Personally I know later in his life he became more libertarian I don't think you could call him a liberal, unless you mean liberal in the European/19th century meaning of it which is the same as libertarian.
