Amusingly, no, but I did referee Illinois high school matches for a while.

I only ever played it in PE/gym class, from elementary to high school. Other than that, no.

Yes Memphis 1982

Soccer was huge at the JCC. I did it in the Spring and in the Fall for several years in the late 80s and early 90s. Also did basketball and tball/coach pitch/baseball, but those were not as popular. Baseball, in general, is not as popular here as elsewhere in the US. Too damn hot in the summer to play a sport outside.
I had never even heard of LaCrosse until American Pie came out when I was in high school. It seems to be pretty popular with the white kids these days though.

I played on and off for school's B squad until I was 11. Never played organised football outside of school though. No, I was more of a rugby person, which I played for various clubs from ages 7-16, which I gave up then because I didn't have as much time on my hands, as well as the fact that I didn't want to spend every waking hour either training, in the gym or stuffing myself with rice and chicken Tongue

I'm Scottish. As a child with a bunch of pals and a crap ball we played disorganised 'soccer.' My school was a rugby school though.

Born 1985 in New Jersey.  Played one year of youth soccer in 2nd grade, hated hated HATED it.

Little League wasn't much better, though I did enjoy tennis and played it through senior year of high school.

Born 1991 in Kentucky. I played soccer from Kindergarten to 4th grade. In 4th grade I switched to playing football.
