Anyway, Michigan is the final Kerry state left that still has the ban.

Dominating!

Anyway, yes... it is amazing how the divide in national elections seems to be either

1. Purely a cultural and social divide

2. Economic opinions have fused with cultural belief

Have gay marriage proponents lost a single court case since DOMA was struck down?

It's pretty clear this is going to be permanently resolved soon enough.

It would have been awesome to see Tammy Baldwin among the first couples to marry... if she and her partner of fifteen years hadn't separated already.  Sad

From PA, but this article was pretty hilarious.

Not one, in the last year I think there have been around a dozen cases of judges ruling different states have to issue SSM licenses or recognize some aspect of SSM. But none have made it to the appellate courts yet.

Today a Federal suit challenging the SSM ban in ND was filed, so now there is an active Federal case in every single state that still has a ban.

"That's right. That's what we're trying to do. Look at you, you're all a bunch of old white people," said the young man, who was himself white.

The map is ridiculously similar to the 2000 and 2004 elections now.

Does no good for us conservative gays. We are rejected by our "Community" because some of us do not approve of same -sex marriage. Sad.

I feel sorry for the Wisconsin voters who's votes were struck down by a judge with the stroke of a pen.  But I concede, that it is likely that the voters of Wisconsin would have undone this amendment.

Yes, the true victims are the bigots who voted for an unconstitutional law that arbitrarily discriminated against a small and historically persecuted minority group Roll Eyes

Well, those responses don't exactly indicate that what I said above was wrong about intolerance towards a conservative point of view.

Is there any "conservative" gay besides you that doesn't think SSM should be legal?

I fully admit I'm in the minority and the battle is lost.  In the public arena, however, I should still be allowed to voice my views.  I won't get married because I don't want it. And yes, this affects relationships. I'm sure that makes people happy to know.

Not a troll. I just have a different opinion. Not everyone who's gay wants to be.

Nobody has suggested that you can't voice an opinion. Why would you think otherwise?

I'm sure you've accepted your gender, the colour of your eyes and your height. Might have had a different colour pallette if you had the choice but there you go. If you are gay, you are gay. Just because you can't accept it doesn't mean you should subject everyone else to your own internalised hatred. As much as I care whether or not you die as an old man on the cold floor tiles after a life of being alone and hating yourself (as in I wouldn't wish that that on anyone), I fully intend to die surrounded by love. If you can't be happy for me, why should I feel sad for you?

Acceptance of something is one thing.  Being happy about it or "prideful" or wanting it is another.  For example, I accept the fact that it's going to be a warm day tomorrow, but I don't have to like the heat.

Thanks for that, but try living in the San Francisco Bay Area and expressing a conservative view, you are labeled a hater, a bigot, yada yada yada, even if you are gay!
