It's Nebraska. Besides Ben Nelson and Bob Kerrey, Nebraska Democratic Party is basically just some dude.

This is probably a problem of name recognition.
Ricketts should win by double digits.
Although Hassebrook isn't really bad as a candidate.

Ugh, NE needs runoffs. Ricketts got under 60K votes in a Republican primary and will likely be Governor now.

Nebraska is the sort of state in which Democrats can now win in a statewide race if the Republican does something incredibly stupid, like trivializing rape or its consequences.
