So we know Landrieu will be leading in the general election, and polling the runoff is absolutely necessary to gain a clear picture of who wins. Because I don't think Landrieu will get >50% the first round. Control of the Senate could very realistically be on the line until December.

I am starting to think she needs to do this to win.
