Is it fair to say atheism is a religion, now? Wink

Seems like a pretty dumb idea, the whole point of atheism is that it's the absence of a belief. You can't have a TV show about things you don't believe in.

There are a plethora of tv stations showing god. Or selling god.  There are numerous stations including formerly respectable outlets that screen guff about angels and ghosts and aliens and revisionist history. So let them try. If it's science based factual programming then good for them.

I am surprised there is apparently no Baha'i television channel.  Believe it or not, there is a Baha'i radio station right here in South Carolina, WLGI, tho I do not live close enough to be able to listen to it.

Maybe they should start also gathering in meetings once a week and apply for tax exemptions if they are trying to be televangelists for atheism. Tongue

I could see a market for a serious science-based/skeptic channel that would resist the sort of decay that has plagued stations like History and to a thankfully lesser extent Discovery. They might have to rely on syndication and reruns at first but I could definitely see a market for that.

I'm really starting to think humans are brain patterned to be either religious or nonreligious.

The kind of atheists who form things like this reject god, but appear to be craving church and organization of beliefs at a central source. They can't seem to live in a world without religion, they just want a Church of Science.

They're far more religious than someone like myself who official identifies himself as a Catholic and not an atheist but hasn't been to a mass in 3 years.
