Not surprising, he's a good governor.

Ever since 2010, the Tennessee Democratic Party has been massively unsuccessful, and it only seems to be getting worse. Of course what I find bizarre is that republicans here put up extremely electable candidates while they nominate nut jobs in swing/lean states like Georgia and Colorado.

Democrats already stood no chance of unseating Haslam and the general won't matter much at all, but I'm at least glad that the TN Democratic Party stepped up their game from 2012 and made sure Mark "Gays already have all the equal rights they need!" Clayton didn't make the primary ballot.

Hopefully Rasmussen polled the primary though. Haslam is presumably popular among TN Republicans and I like him for his views on education and decisions to provide free college tuition for the first 2 years, giving teacher's more leeway on their licenses and his attempts to federally expand Medicaid, but I'm just curious to see how the two joke primary opponents, Basil Marceaux and Coonrippy, fare against the Governor.

Huh?

Seriously, he seems really decent for a republican.

Exactly, he just doesn't say crazy things like most other Republicans.
