Let's discuss a number we can work with because I'd like to see some amount of funding provided by TNF's amendment.

$1 to $2 billion would be my guess becuase I don't think we get too far ahead of the eventual numbers in the Lets Put People to Work.

Perhaps $8 billion rather than $10 billion?

I think that would still be a bit too steep for me.

For some reason I thought I had voted on this, but now I see I just preemptively asked people to COME TOGETHER..right now.

Nay.

Provided we could afford it, I am much more comfortable with $4-5 billion as opposed to $10 billion. I wouldn't mind something like $3 billion, but I won't whine over something close to that.

What happens if a firm relocates within Atlasia? What if they're closing 3 plants with 2000 workers in the Midwest to open one with 400 in Mississippi?

Then the laid off workers in the Midwest factories will be given the option of forming a workers' cooperative with the factories left behind. I'll add an amendment to clarify that process after we finish hashing out these numbers.

I don't know if I can support both this and the loan program we're trying to establish with the President's bill. It seems like unnecessary duplication.

I'm offering this amendment.  Having a lending program specifically for cooperatives just doesn't make much sense to me.
