Victoria has the best climate of them all, Australia's coolest city, and just feels very British.

Gotta go Queensland as it's my home state, but Victoria and NSW have better scenery and in some cases, nicer people.

Victoria, hands down. I can see the appeal of WA and Tasmania, and the territories have their own cool groove. NSW is a bit messy, SA is a hole, and the less said about Queensland the better.

That said, I'm Victorian, so... I'll leave a stat to back me up.

The only state or territory of Australia more Victorians moved to than others moved from to Victoria in the year preceding the 2011 census was WA, which I think could be considered to be in part due to the mining boom.

It does, in the same way that calling your state "Eastern Virginia" would also get the point across, or calling it "Really Northern Carolina" for that matter...

Anyway, perhaps it's because the question is poorly worded, but no one has answered correctly yet.
It gets the point across.  But you dont say it.  Can somebody not spell something wrong without being harassed about it?
