Let's say former NM Governor Gary Johnson decides to run for president in 2004 as a Libertarian and is nominated, along with Aaron Russo for VP. It seems to me like an awful alot of money would be put behind this ticket with a former Governor on it.

How much of the popular vote would they recieve?
Would they swing any states to the other side?

I would probably vote for them, living in NY and all it's not like my vote would matter much.

I would say that the Johnson would pull enough Bush votes for Kerry to take NM, but no other states and the final result would remain the same.
