The only way a Republican would endorse a candidate in the Democratic primaries would be some type of joke, just like Jimmy Carter's "endorsement" of Romney. There is no way that would happen.

New York Congressman Vito Fosella to stand with Allen

"George Allen represents American values. He is the candidate the future of American prosperity needs. The New York delegation has been pushed and expected to back Rudy Giuliani, but that is not the case for me. I will back the honorable Senator from Virginia, because my constituents deserve a fighter!"

Congressmen Dan Lungren and Darrell Issa of California back Allen for President!

Sacramento, California - Allen joined Congressmen Dan Lungren and Darrell Issa in a joint statement announcing the endorsement of both congressmen. Darrell Issa, in his second term as congressmen, has already gained influence beyond his years, and Lungren, having won statewide election in California before, is a valuable asset to the campaign. The Allen camp faces a 11 point gap in California, a large but decreasing margin that they have been trying to chip away at in order to make Super Tuesday a knock out. Both of the endorsees noted Allen as the only candidate that is willing to support a pro-life position, and will appoint judges that will overturn Roe v. Wade, as well as the only candidate who truly stands against gay marriage.

Jon Huntsman Makes Surprise Endorsement of Clinton in Primary
"While I like all three Republican Candidates this year, I just don't think any of them can win this November, especially with President Bush's approval ratings so low.  I am endorsing Hillary Clinton for President with the Utah Primary approaching, but I have no intention of leaving the Republican Party." Jon Huntsman announced an endorsement of Hillary Clinton in the Utah Primary, which has some Republicans scratching their heads. Huntsman stated he has no intention of leaving the party, but believes none of the three remaining Republican candidates are electable, and with President Bush's sagging approval ratings the party is headed towards disaster in November.

Huntsman, who served as Ambassador to Singapore under President George H.W. Bush and briefly under President Bill Clinton, the move maybe an angling by Huntsman, who could be looking for an ambassadorship post should Clinton win the nomination and election. Some pundits, have seen the endorsement as a shrewd move for the Utah native.

Some pundits however, see this as an interesting trend, when prominent moderate Republicans Arlen Specter and Olympia Snowe both backed Joe Biden for the Democratic Nomination. Huntsman, who could be described as a modern day Rockefeller Republican maybe following in the same path. Politically, it may hurt him among conservatives in his race for Governor, but Utah is a reliably Republican state, so he is more than likely assured a win in November. Recent polls have him beating Democratic nominee Scott Matheson by double digits. (55 - 42 percent)

Well, the Republican convention for Utah Governor isn't for another 3 months according to this, so Huntsman isn't a shoe-in for the nom, and this should irreparably hurt his chances.

Campaign Statement: Allen to endorse Governor Olene Walker for Utah Governor

The Allen Campaign believes in a big tent Republican Party, but the actions of Ambassador Huntsman has crossed a line for Republicans, both in Utah, and in the rest of the United States, and we will not stand for it. Republicans deserve someone who won't undermine our agenda of fiscal restraint, individual liberty, and personal responsibility. Instead, Utah already has a Governor who displays those traits, and we at the Allen Campaign feel that her performance in the small six months she has the ability to lead the state of Utah. Governor Olene Walker receives our endorsement, and we hope the job growth in the state continues to be strong.

More Surrogate Schedules

Sen. Harry Reid

February 18, 19, 20
Be Senator, Washington D.C

February 21,22
Run For Re-Election, Nevada

February 23, 2004

GOTV in Lund, Utah

GOTV in Enoch, Utah

GOTV in St. George, Utah

February 24, 2004

GOTV in Ivins, Utah

Speech at Centrum Arena, Cedar City, Utah (With Jim Jeffords)

The Utah Primary is tonight folks, and I think it's an amazing thing when I can stand here and say that two people that I disagree with on almost everything, believe as I do that Hillary Clinton is the candidate who can not only win in November, but be a President for all people, Reactionary, Conservative, Moderate, Liberal, Socialist, Anarchist. These people are myself, Senator Jeffords, who is here tonight, and Ambassador Huntsman. We believe Senator Clinton isn't just a candidate for the Democratic Party or even one faction of it, but for the whole country.

Election Night Rally at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (With Jan Laverty Jones and Gavin Newsom, Without Hillary Clinton)

Rep. Nancy Pelosi

February 18,19,20,21

Be Congresswoman, Washington D.C

February 22, 2004

GOTV in the Castro District, San Francisco, California (With Gavin Newsom)

Speech at Alcatraz Island, California

Some might say it's crazy to give any kind of speech from America's most notorious prison, but I'm here because Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Agency, Karen Tandy, not only is in favor of a "three-strikes" law, but, in a Friday interview with the Dallas Morning News, that America needed an "Azkaban-like" prison, similar to the famed Azkaban Prison in the Harry Potter Series. We've already had prisons like that, right here at Alcatraz. Like Azkaban, Alcatraz, has or almost certainly would have violated the Geneva conventions on prisoner if we followed at that time. Is that what the Bush Administration wants to project?

GOTV in Antioch, California

February 23, 2004

GOTV in Orem, Utah

Speech at the UCCU Center, Orem, Utah

I think most of us were surprised Ambassador Huntsman decided to endorse any Democrat, let alone Senator Clinton, but we'll gladly accept it. After all, no one says no to free surrogate right?

Speech at the Kibbie Dome, Moscow, Idaho

If our race truly is between Senator Clinton and Senator Biden now, I'll take Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton every day of the week. She hasn't shown much flair in the Senate, sure, but that's a good thing. Biden, on the other hand has a slight tendency to stick his mouth exactly where we don't want it to go.

February 24, 2004

Speech at Simplot Stadium, Caldwell, Idaho

While I admit, it would take the sky falling, to win Idaho in November, we can win the Caucus today! Hillary Clinton is the only candidate ahead or tied against all three Republicans. She has the endorsement of Senator Jim Jeffords, and Ambassador Jon Huntsman, prominent Republicans in their respective states. She can go the distance, and we are going to help her get there.

Statement from the Giuliani Campaign

This statement has two purposes.

First, to comment on the Wisconsin Primary. Mayor Giuliani preformed extremely well in the Badger State and would like to thank all those who came out and supported him. However, the results are too close to call it as a win for Senator Allen with only a .2% margin of "victory". The campaign plans to file paperwork in the Courts to demand a recount in Wisconsin, as it appears that there is a high likely hood that Mayor Giuliani could have won the contest.

Secondly, to comment on the Utah Governor's Race. Mr. Huntsman, a former Ambassador, is allowed to hold whatever political views he would like. It is clear from his endorsement of Senator Clinton that he is hoping to reclaim his Ambassadorship in the unlikely event she wins the Democratic nomination and then the election. It is for this reason of nepotism and politicking that Mayor Giuliani offers his endorsement to Governor Olene S. Walker for another term as Governor of Utah.

Provo, Utah

While we don't think a recount will, accomplish anything in either primary... Senator Clinton believes that if the State if Wisconsin is going to recount the Republican Primary, they might as well recount the Democratic Primary (Even though the result won't change).

Giuliani Endorsements

Former President George H.W. Bush Rudy Giuliani is clearly the only candidate who can win in November and lead our nation effectively. He has proven himself on September 11th, 2001 and continued to grow as a leader since then. I feel that he is the candidate that can emulate the policies that Ronald Reagan and myself put into place.
- President George H.W. Bush spends February 18th-24th barnstorming in Ohio for Mayor Giuliani.

Governor Tim Pawlenty George Allen is too conservative for Minnesota. He won't be able to represent this state well as President. George Allen won't be able to set aside his partisan differences for the better of the nation. That's why I'm supporting Rudy Giuliani for President.
- Governor Pawlenty spends February 18th-24th barnstorming in Minnesota for Mayor Giuliani

Former Senator Rod Grams I know what the average Minnesotan thinks about, what that talk about at dinner. It's issues like healthcare, taxes, and jobs that they're concerned with. One candidate is consistent with his stance on these critical issues. One candidate has the best interests of Minnesotans and Americans in heart. Minnesota needs Rudy Giuliani for President.
- Senator Grams spends February 18th-24th barnstorming in Minnesota for Mayor Giuliani.

Biden Acceptance Speech

Thank you Wisconsin! Thank you, all of you here and across the state, for the hard work you did for our campaign. Thank you for your votes, your trust, and support. This is an amazing state, and we're going to do a lot of great work together in the next four years!

New Biden Endorsements

Henry Waxman, Congressman from California's 30th Congressional District

Congressman Waxman published an editorial in the Los Angeles Times endorsing Senator Biden, and inviting the people of Los Angeles to see the endorsement event and rally later on.

Barbara Lee, Congresswoman from California's 9th Congressional District

Congresswoman Lee published an op-ed in the Oakland Tribune and Berkeley paper endorsing Senator Biden, and inviting the people of Oakland to see the endorsement event and rally later on.

James Hahn, Mayor from Los Angeles, California

Mayor Hahn appeared in his press room and delivered a live statement endorsing Senator Biden, and inviting the people of Los Angeles to see the endorsement event and rally later on.

The Democratic Congressional Delegation from Rhode Island

Jack Reed, Senator from Rhode Island

Senator Reed issues an official endorsement out of his Rhode Island office, and on Feb. 18 endorsed Biden publicly (but not in person) at a dinner for Democratic donors and activists in Providence, RI.

Patrick J. Kennedy, Congressman from Rhode Island's 1st Congressional District

"My cousin Caroline, I understand her support for Senator Clinton. I do. Caroline's from New York, so of course she supports her Senator. But dad taught me that Irish, we stick together, and I am proud to be endorsing Senator Biden from Delaware for President in our upcoming Democratic Primary!"

Jim Langevin, Congressman from Rhode Island's 2nd Congressional District

Congressman Langevin was asked by a constituent on Feb. 19 at a meet & greet who he was voting for in the upcoming primary. He said Senator Biden, and that an event was in the works for after the Feb. 24 contests. Our cameras caught the whole interaction... - FOX NEWS

Statement from Biden campaign

Senator Biden is honored to receive the endorsement of two California Congresspersons who represent heavily Democratic districts that will be a significant amount of the GOTV effort, and the primary voters. Mr. Biden is also grateful for the support of the Mayor of Los Angeles.

Senator Biden has staked his candidacy on his ability to work with members of Congress and get things done for the American people. Therefore we are pleased to welcome the endorsements of all three Democrats in Rhode Island's congressional delegation.

Recount Begins in Wisconsin

The recount process got under in Wisconsin, following a request made by the Giuliani Campaign. The recount comes after George Allen's narrow victory of 0.2 percent of Rudy Giuliani in the primary. While no Democratic candidate formally requested a recount, save for a veiled suggestion by The Clinton Campaign; the recount will include both the Republican and Democratic Ballots. Most analysts do not foresee a change in the Democratic results.

√ Joe Biden Still Wins Wisconsin Primary
Small Shift in Votes; beats Clinton by only 7,562 (0.6%)

Wisconsin Primary Recount: Democrat
√ Joe Biden: 341,451 (26.3%)
Hillary Clinton: 333,889 (25.7%)
Dennis Kucinich: 327,664 (25.2%)
John Edwards: 294,889 (22.7%)

√ George Allen Wins WI Recount By Only 5 Votes!

Wisconsin Primary Recount: Republican
√ George Allen: 298,454 (38.04%)
Rudy Giuliani: 298,449 (38.04%)
Gary Johnson: 187,555 (23.92%%)

The recount in the Wisconsin Primary, requested by the Giuliani Campaign still resulted in George Allen winning, but by an even tighter margin than what was originally projected. The original tally had Allen beating Rudy Giuliani by 0.2 percent (38.04% - 38.02%) The recount shifted a significant number of votes into the Giuliani's column, but not enough to overtake Allen. Still, a five vote finish is quite a squeaker, making the Wisconsin Primary the closest contest in history! Both candidates can claim neither defeat, nor victory in Wisconsin, but Analysts agree that this squeaker in Wisconsin sets up by candidates for a battle royale on Super Tuesday. No word yet from the Giuliani or Allen Campaigns on the result of the recount.

Republican Primary Poll:
Rudy Giuliani: 38%
George Allen: 38%
Gary Johnson: 19%

Um, Kucinich took Barbara Lee a while ago, Biden.

Kucinich Endorsements

Barbara Lee: Dennis and I were some of the brave members of Congress who said no to President Bush and opposed these disastrous wars. Now we've seen public opinion turn against Bush and the Republicans, and it's time for a new administration with fresh ideas on how to turn around this country for the better. Dennis has the boldest vision for where to go forward out of all the candidates.

Schedule for Bill Clinton

February 18, 2004

GOTV in Saratoga Springs, Utah

Speech at Peaks Ice Arena, Provo, Utah

Back in the late 1990's, when the State of Utah, had to deal with a high-profile scandal involving bribery with regards to obtaining the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Hillary has an excellent idea, to introduce a cabinet-rank office, titled the Sports and Entertainment Department, which would be Responsible for such activities as coordinating Olympic Bidding, World Cup Bidding, and other major International Sporting and Entertainment events. Under the umbrella of this department would be agencies such as the US Anti-Doping Agency, the U.S Olympic Committee, and US Paralympic Committee and the various National Sports Governing Bodies. What would not be under this Department's purview is the NCAA (Department of Education), and the various Professional Sports Leagues. Would this prevent another scandal like what we saw with the 2002 Olympics? It's definitely not out of the realm of impossibility that this idea could.

Speech/Rally at LaVell Edwards Stadium, Provo Utah

The way George Allen and Rudy Giuliani went after Ambassador Allen, proves that they aren't the "big tent" party. It proves that we are the big tent party, with individuals like Jim Jeffords, Olympia Snowe, Arlen Specter, and now Jon Huntsman endorsing Democrats for President, we truly do represent politicians of all stripes, that we don't have a litmus test, while Republicans, their litmus test is so narrow it's wonder they still exist.

GOTV in Springville, Utah

February 19, 2004

Speech at Memorial Stadium, Boise, Idaho

I know what your're thinking, why is anyone bothering to campaign here, if Idaho is going to go Republican in November? Well, it's still a contested caucus, and we need to start winnowing the field down. Nobody wants a brokered convention...

Speech/Rally at Bronco Stadium, Boise, Idaho (With David Bieter)

You know, the blue turf this stadium uses reminds me of the blue, the mapmakers and pundits use for our party, and there's one Pundit I'd like to call out today, and that person is The New Republic Editor Peter Beinart, which in an op-ed in its last issue (published the day of the Maine Caucuses) said "We hate to admit it but a Republican almost certainly will win this election". He then went to rate Kucinich's chances of winning at exactly 0%, Biden's at 10% Edwards at 10% Hillary's 12.5%, Johnson's at 35% Giuliani at 55% and Allen at 65%. It's not that it's biased, it that's it just wrong.

GOTV in Notus, Idaho

GOTV in Melba, Idaho

February, 20, 2004

Speech at the Pacific Tsunami Museum, Hilo, Hawaii

People tend to forget that Hawaii, and most of our West Coast States are vulnerable to Earthquakes and the Tsunamis that are sometimes associated with them. But Republicans in Congress, like George Allen, for whatever reason are determined to cut to the bone NOAA's Pacific Tsunami Warning System or even eliminate it outright. Maybe it's that they believe we shouldn't be messing with an Act of God, which we most certainly aren't, we're not trying to prevent the tsunamis altogether, or maybe it's the concept that we should never help enemies, which in this case would be several Pacific Rim countries, and the States of Hawaii, Washington, Oregon and California, which have voted for Democrats for State and Local office for a while now. But whatever the reason is, something doesn't seem right here.
