When do you want to hold elections? I say the Mid-May..

I say May 21-23. Which is not exactly mid-May but rather 1 week after mid-May. That gives about 25 days after the end of the midterms election for the candidates. OR May 28-30 - last week of May. I think mid-May is too soon and gives candidates less than 20 days.

May 21-23 is good...Since the region is big, we have to have Lt. Gov.... Now should it be appointed or have a election?

How is it in "real" life? Smiley I would lean towards by appointed.

Ummm Super not so fast it appears YoungRepub did step out of this race on the 10th that post you quoted was from the 9th!

I have decided that I must step out of this race. My duties currently lie with the Chairmanship of the AFRNC. I urge a Republican to take my place and contest this seat. I have not ruled out a future run yet.

The presidential election is a long way out...Justing was doing the same before he dropped out, running for the presidency and the senate simlutaneously.

Although my exploratory committee has come back with some good findings, I have decided it would be in my best interset not to seek the office of Governor.

As the only current canidate in the Northeastern Gubernatorial Election, I wish to express my opinion that I would like to appoint my Lt. but if it is the will of the people that we should elect them I am all for democracy.

A plethora of complicated elections is unncessary. Either the Lt Governor is elected on the same ticket, or he is appointed, the latter being to me preferable.

Thank you Dunn, and I am of the opinion that if the Governor is elected he should be able to select his own Lt. with the confidence of the people. But elections are exciting.

We should have a special election for Emsworth's seat in the Senate... I don't think we should wait 3 more weeks to nominate have a election for Governor.

We don't need to rush this. Let the Governor elect choose his replacement just like the constituation says.

Emsworth was elected from a district, and there are no governors for districts

Exactly. Tongue

A special election is what the constitution stipulates, I think. At least that's what we sort of decided on.
