I've been to one: CAK. Mom used to drive Dad there often back in the 90s when they were still married. I remember the trip would take forever and I would be extremely bored. Now my commute takes me past the airport and it doesn't feel particularly long.

I've never actually flown.

Edit: I've also been to CLE, but this is also when I was very young, I remain untraveled.

Wow, I'm not sure.  This will be fun to count!  I wrote down every commercial flight I have taken in my 24 year, 1 month life and came up with 98 total (soon to be 104 after this March), and it looks like I did write down all of the airports, too.

UNITED STATES
Eastern Iowa (Cedar Rapids, IA)
Charlotte Douglas (Charlotte, NC)
O'Hare International (Chicago, IL)
Indianapolis International (Indianapolis, IN)
Miami International (Miami, FL)
Quad City International (Moline, IL)
JFK International (New York, NY)
Orlando International (Orlando, FL)
General Wayne A. Dowling (Peoria, IL)
Philadelphia International (Philadelphia, PA)
Raleigh-Duram International (Raleigh, NC)
Tampa International (Tampa, FL)
Ronald Reagan Washington National (Washington, DC)

CARIBBEAN
Clayton J. Lloyd International (Anguilla)
Cancún International (Cancún, MEX)
Gustaf III (St. Barths, FWI)
Princess Juliana (St. Maarten, DWI)
Cyril E. King (St. Thomas, USVI)
San Juan Airport (San Juan, PR)

EUROPE
Dublin Airport (Dublin, IRE)
Edinburgh Airport (Edinburgh, SCOT)
Florence Airport, Peretola (Florence, ITA)
Frankfurt Airport (Frankfurt, GER)
London City (London, ENG)
Paris Orly (Paris, FRA)
Charles du Gaulle (Paris, FRA)
Leonardo da Vinci International (Rome, ITA)

I guess that puts me at 27.  This March I will revisit Frankfurt and I believe add Václav Havel (Prague), but I need to re-check the exact travel plans.

French don't take plane, but still build airports everywhere, what's happening with Notre-Dame-des-Landes and Nantes/North-Western French airports is so telling about that.

Those tiny airports in Alberta and BC are where I learned how to fly. (along with Scottsdale, to some extent) They're mostly runways in the middle of nowhere with a shack as the terminal and a 20-year old Crown Vic in the parking lot. You're missing nothing. Wink
