The Nomination failed 47-52 with all Republicans voting no... Democrats voting no were Bob Casey (PA) Chris Coons (DE) Heidi Heitkamp (ND), Joe Manchin (WV), Mark Pryor (AR) and John Walsh (MT). Harry Reid (NV) switched his vote to no, and motioned to bring up the nomination at a later time.

With the six non-Reid Senators does anything stand out here?

Yeah, this is for the better.

King: add in the guy from NV, and you are right.

They voted to filibuster their own party's nominee because the nominee did his job and got a client spared from the death penalty? Time for some primary challenges to these DINOs. Especially to Casey and Coons, who are from blue states.

Disgusting. How dare the head of the DOJ civil right's division have spent his career defending peoples' civil rights!

I can understand folks like Manchin voting against it because they need to distance themselves from Obama to win in their states, but Coons and Casey have no excuse.

You really don't understand why Casey voted no?

Your line in the sand for considering someone a DINO is if they vote against an Obama nominee?

If anything Casey should be primaried for his stance on Roe v. Wade.

Basically both of these comments are 100% correct. Especially the bit about challenging the Delaware Senators. Corporatism is strong in DE, and must be challenged.

The real problem is that he defended people's civil rights while black.

"At the last minute, Reid changed his vote to no, a procedural move that could allow him to call another vote in the future."

You obviously didn't read the article, did you? You disgust me - not necessarily because of this, but because of everything you do.

Reid voting for the nominee allows him to bring it up for another vote later.

By voting against this, Reid allowed there to be another vote at a later time. It's a procedural measure

Reid vote yes = no more votes, so Reid vote no.

Five words, max.
