Overall Philosophy-Libertarian, Goldwaterite. I also hold several other views, mainly leaning towards the far right. I am a "Powellite" too.

Abortion-Its a states right, with each state setting its own policy. However, I do support a Federal ban on citizens getting abortions across state lines, and parental notification.

Affirmative Action-All "equality" laws take the issue and flip it. Multiculturalism is a failure, and as long as the Jim Crow laws are gone, nothing else should be changed. Whites are no better then Blacks and vice-versa.

Death Penalty support it on a state level, not on a Federal Level. As a Floridian, I think the state should only kill murderers of Women, and Children. I support death for serial rapists, though that should not be a actual law. On a Federal level, only foreign (not even domestic) terrorist should receive it.

Drugs-Marijuana can be legal on a state level. Taxed too.

Euthanasia-If you want to kill yourself, swallow a bunch of aspirins or something. I cant believe this is a serious issue.

Gun Rights-Any one should be able to own a gun, no questions asked. And I support private militias, as long as they do not engage in terrorism.

Immigration-Amnesty to all Illegals who join the army, lived here 5 years, have no criminal record and speak English. Those who dont, should be deported. Illegals caught in the country, or attempting to enter the country, should be turned back. Those caught on our side, should be detained and released. Put the Army on the border.

Gay Marriage personally oppose it, but its a State Right that should be decided by referendum.

Prostitution-State Right, but I wouldn't oppose it being legal. Its not relevant anyway.

Separation of Church and State-I believe everyone should be allowed to practice any religion, freely, though I stress that American IS a Christian country, and that "Under God" should remain in the Pledge, on the Money, and in the courts. Remeber, "Under God" can be anyones God...

Stem Cell Research- I dont support abortion, and I wish babies didnt have to get aborted, but I want their lives to be worth something if they are, so Stem Cell research is only fair. If it can cure Cancer, and my little brothers Autism, then I support it 100%

Education support abolishing the Department of Education, and laying it out among the states. I support public education.

Energy-America needs to get off foreign oil, and drill our own. Even though I am Libertarian, I am not opposed to a state run oil company, so we dont get robbed at the pump. Then again, we could buy cheap gas from friendly countries like Brazil, and if they try to screw us, we just pull a Teddy Roosevelt and send a couple of battleships......Also, Global Warming is a total myth.

Economy-a flat tax on all income brackets, and raised tariffs. We need to pull out of NAFTA, stop handing out money to failing corporations, abolish the IRS and Federal Reserve, and even go back to the Gold Standard. Maybe then our money will be worth something.

Healthcare- I support a basic form of Universal Healthcare, but it cant be like Canada or Britains systems. I wouldnt mind seeing a more successful (and altered) form of Romneycare. Obscure is a watered down peace of garbage. The Individual mandate is forcing people to buy Health Insurance. That doesn't do anything! Maybe we could have UHC if we decided to stop treating illegals for free.....

Social Justice-Unemployment checks on a State level, perhaps, but those recipients should receive drug test (not through that crook Scotts company though)..I support Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare, though they need reform.

Taxation-Flat Tax on all income brackets. Tariffs on imports.

United Nations-Pull out, now! They cause problems, and expect the US to clean it up.

War-Avoid it at all cost, be non-interventionist as much as possible. Still, its necessary sometimes.

WMDS-The US should have a nuclear arsenal, and it is every countries choice to have them, if they can afford it. Now, Iran, and NK, they need to be controlled. They wont use there nukes for defensive purposes.

Referenda: I do not believe that individuals can be trusted to make good decisions directly. I also do not believe that issues like minority rights are something we should put on a ballot. Human rights are not up for a popular vote. I support saving the people from themselves, by banning all voter initiatives nation-wide, as well as limiting, or abolishing outright, recall elections. People make decisions, they should learn to live with them, or be smart enough not to make them the next time.

With all due respect, thats the reason Socialism is not common among the blue collar workers of this country. People feel insulted. I can easily see a place like West Virginia being a Socialist stronghold, if the leadership of the various movements. I agree with you on Human Rights issues, though our definitions maybe a little differant.

I'm new here and thought this would be as good a place to introduce myself as any.

Overall Philosophy: Democratic-socialist, social-anarchist.

Social:

Abortion: Solidly believe in a women's right to choose, strongly oppose any attempt to infringe on this basic right.

Gay Rights: Strongly oppose DADT, strongly support letting same-sex couples adopt, strongly support legalizing same-sex marriage, strongly oppose DOMA, believe same-sex marriage should be legalized at the federal level (having the validity of your marriage vary by state is ridiculous).

Sex: Believe in legalizing and regulating prostitution, comprehensive sex education and proper information regarding safe sex, strongly oppose Sebelius's attempt to stop the sale of the morning after pill to those under 18, believe in legalizing incest as practiced among consensual adults.

Death Penalty/Prison Reform/War on Drugs: Strongly oppose the Death Penalty and mandatory minimum sentences, support drastic overhaul focusing on rehabilitation, legalize Marijuana, end the war on drugs, drastically reduce sentences for possessing illicit substances of all variety, refocus on rehabilitation of junkies.

Immigration Reform: Support full amnesty for all so-called illegal immigrants and passage of the DREAM Act. The rise of the standard of living in Mexico has lead to a natural tapering off of illegal immigration, the issue is primarily manipulated by white supremacists.

Second Amendment: I support the right to carry small arms for self-defense, favor concealed-carry, however I also support the ban on assault weapons and favor criminalizing hunting (it's barbaric).

Economic:

Education: Trash No Child Left Behind, fire Arne Duncan, pro-project based learning, for legalizing home-schooling and removing government interference, completely overhaul school system, kill voucher programs, kill the standardized test.

Health Care Reform: I favor a government run single payer system.

Trade: I tend to favor protectionist trade policy, I oppose NAFTA the TTP and all similar deals and  believe we should follow the example of the high tariffs that led Japan to it's post-WWII economic boom.

Tax: I believe we should raise the corporate tax rate by 10%, institute a financial transactions tax, create a new tax bracket for those making upward of $500,000 a year that is 10% higher than the current top tax rate, and make social security solvent by ending the social security payroll tax cap on those making over $250,000 a year and end the bush tax cuts.

Labor Unions: I support the Employee Free Choice Act and "corporations are not people" constitutional amendment (although not necessarily in the language put forth by Mr. Sanders), also strongly oppose "Right to Work" laws.

Minimum Wage: Replace with living wage.

Energy Independence/Environmental: Support increases in funding for Wind and Solar, further increasing the fuel standards for new vehicles, eliminating taxpayer subsidies of fossil fuels, and implementing a steep "carbon tax", support increasing funding for national parks and expanding hiking trails within parks.

Infrastructure/Transportation: Support building 5,000 km of 200+ km/h high-speed rail over the next 30 years.

Government Regulation: Reinstate Glass-Steagal, repeal the Depository Institutions Deregulation and Monetary Control Act of 1980, repeal the Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act).

Foreign Policy:

Support ending war in Afghanistan, closing all military bases world wide, bringing all troops home, slashing the Pentagon's budget in half, kill the unnecessary Dept. of Homeland Security, repeal the PATRIOT Act and make continued foreign aid to Israel dependent on return to 1967 borders.

Election Reform:

Term Limits: As has been demonstrated by California term limits lead to corrupt, lobbyist-written legislation and are inherently unconstitutional. Strongly Oppose.
Your views are interesting (Im a Paleoconservative for Ron Paul), but I agree with Scott--Hunting is very important.

I am horrified at myself regarding some of my old views. I went through a semi White Nationalist phase for a while, yet, I never recognized it. I mean, seriously, WTF at this post? I cannot believe I was ever as bad as I am now, but, apparently I was.

Social Issues

Abortion: States should decide this issue. I oppose abortion on a personal level strongly, and believe that life is sacred.

Same-sex marriage: This issue also is a states’’ rights issue, but I think government should not regulate marriage at all. That way, the government does not have to recognize same sex marriages, which I mixed on. My religion quite clearly states that it is wrong. But I think it is just as wrong for me to force my views on two people in love. By removing marriage from politics, I can go to a church that does not have to recognize same sex marriage, and I don't have to force my views on homosexuals, who are loved by God just as much as a heterosexual.

Drug legalization: I support legalization of marijuana at a state level. I think the "war on drugs" targets minorities unfairly, and is way too costly to keep up. If marijuana was legal, than it would quickly be taken over by corporations, and regulated in the same way that beer and tobacco is regulated. It is easier for me to get pot than is beer these days.

Prostitution: It is a states right to legalize it, but I think it should be legal, as long as it is not on the street. Local governments should regulate whether or not street prostitution should be legal, but as long as normal prostitution is legal, "pimping" should become obsolete.

Guns: The 2nd Amendment clearly states that every citizen has a right to own a gun, and no state should be able to do away with that. However, if I did support gun control, I would want the state to ban the sale of guns, which is the only constitutional way to do so.

Education: Education is a complex issue. I support the abolition of the Department of Education, and allow the states to run their own education programs. In Florida, the school system should focus on teaching, not testing, and the power of the teachers union should be curbed. The school system should only teach students in English, and non English speakers should be taught English along with their classes.

Immigration: I support placing the military on the border. I also support an immigration reform program that would slowly grant citizenship to illegals that complete the following three steps-1. Learn English, 2. Serve in the military or complete a large amount of community service, and 3. Have no criminal record. The Constitution should be amended to say that children of parents who are citizens born in foreign countries should be able to be elected President, and children born to parents who are not citizens but living in America should NOT be able to get citizenship.

Stem Cell Research: Stem cell research is full of potential, but must be done by private companies.

Euthanasia: Doctors should not have the power to end life, only prolong it. If a patient truly is in pain, they have the ability to kill themselves without the help of a Doctor.

English as the official language: English should be the official language of the USA, and being able to speak it should be a requirement for citizenship.

School prayer: Each individual school should decide whether it’s allowed.

Pledge of Allegiance: We should keep 'under God' in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Economic Issues

Affirmative Action: End it. Its reverse discrimination.

Trade: Pull out of NAFTA, and other treaties which violate our sovereignty. Enact tariffs on all imports, but nothing higher than 5%.

Health Care: Each state should be able to decide their own programs, but I support the Federal Government opening up state lines to make competition for insurance companies. I also support the programs of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, but they must be reformed for future generations.

Welfare: I support mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients on a state level.

Minimum Wage: Each state should decide this.

Monetary Policy: The Constitution gives the right to coin and regulate the value of money to Congress, not private banks. Therefore, the Federal Reserve is unconstitutional, and should be abolished. The Fed should be replaced by the system we had prior to the Federal Reserve, and the gold standard should be reinstated.

Taxes: I think the Federal income tax should be abolished, and replaced with a consumption tax. All other taxes should be flat.

Regulation: Some regulations are needed. Each state should decide their own regulations.

Spending Cuts: Pass a balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution.

Energy: The government should not be involved in energy. The Department of Energy should be abolished, and the Federal Government should open up ANWR, and each state should decide whether they want offshore drilling.

Social Security: Social Security should not be looted to fund other programs. It needs reforms to survive, and a cap should be placed on new members for all those born after 2020.

Unions: States should decide their own laws. I think that Unions are out of control, and that businesses should decide whether or not their employees can join a union. If the employees go on strike, and the owner does not want to make concessions, he can fire all of the strikers. It's his right.

Foreign Policy/Defense

PATRIOT ACT: Repeal it! Repeal it! Repeal it!

Afghanistan: Pull out, it’s unwinnable.

Cuba: End the embargo, and open up relations with Cuba. End "wet foot dry foot", and begin deporting illegal Cuban immigrants.

Iraq: Withdrawal all troops from Iraq, and investigate whether or not WMDs were ever there. The US should prosecute those involved in any cover-up.

Israel/Palestine: End US support and aid for Israel and Palestine until a two state solution can be made. Have both the US embassy in Israel and the US Embassy in Palestine (if there is one) in Jerusalem. Recognize Palestinian statehood, but demand that Israel’s sovereignty be recognized by Palestine.

Iran: I would pressure Iran to end their program, but it's their country, not ours, and we have no rights to tell them what they should do and what they should not do. I would not place any sanctions on any nation.

Syria: I support humanitarian aid for civilians, but nothing more.

Military Spending: Cut it by 40%, and refocus our attention to our own Hemisphere. Close foreign bases.

Electoral Issues/Government

Voter Regulations/ID Cards: States rights issue, but Florida should not enact a law like this, as it could lead to a national ID card situation.

Electoral College: Fine as it is.

Washington D.C.Sad Fine as it is. I think the number of states should be capped at 50.

Puerto Rico: End our control, and let them be independent. No statehood, what so ever. End the special tax breaks in the mean time, and when the independence process is nearly complete, end US citizenship for its inhabitants.

Senate: I oppose the filibuster, but no reform is needed. Keep the popular election of Senators, but allow each state to decide if they want their Senators/Representatives to have term limits.

I'm confused. Tongue
I meant to put sales in italics Tongue You should be able to have a gun, but they are vague on buying a gun....Wink I still think the sale of guns should remain legal, of course, I just found a loophole that could be exploited.

I am too.
I am 100% against a ban on the sale of guns, or guns themselves. But, sadly, a loophole for those who want to get some form of gun control exists..a ban on guns is unconstitutional, but, technically, a ban on the sale (not the ownership) of guns would be constitutional. That does not mean in anyway that I support gun control.

Social Policy
Abortion: Oppose abortion in most instances. Only allow it in case of rape, incest, or health of the mother. Implement a program that assists young mothers who can afford to raise their child in order to prevent a potential abortion. I’d imagine this would consist of subsidies similar to any other welfare program.
Drugs: Federally decriminalize marijuana and cocaine. Leave enforcement to the states.
Censorship: The Federal government should not censor television or radio, but I would hope the broadcasting companies draw a line at some point.
Gay marriage: Abolish marriage licenses, and implement civil unions. Churches have the right to marry whoever they want.
Death penalty: A states right.
Prostitution: States can legalize it if they so choose.
Church & State: I think they should be kept separate. Churches should be tax exempt.
Affirmative action: Oppose.
Hate crime laws: A “hate crime” is still a crime. If I kill a person in cold blood, it is an act of hate, no matter what their race/gender/sexual orientation is. No additional penalties/distinction should be made.
Immigration: Secure the border first and foremost. Allow all illegal aliens who have lived here for twenty years, have no criminal record, and speak passable English the status of “permanent resident.” Deport all illegal immigrants who are arrested and convicted of a crime.
Stem cell research: I think private research can solve this. I support stem cell research, and think it should be pursued.
PATRIOT Act: Repeal it!
Gun Control: Oppose almost all forms of gun control.
Assisted suicide: States have a right to legalize it. I support its legalization.
Gambling: Again, a state’s decision.

Electoral Reform:
Term limits: No term limits for Congress or judges. The President should be limited to two terns.
Statehood: Oppose Puerto Rican and DC statehood. Allow DC representation in Congress.
Voting age: Keep it at 18.
Campaign Finance Reform: Require complete transparency, but allow unlimited donations from individuals.
Voting system: Status quo.
Gerrymandering: A non partisan commission should draw districts, but I don’t care enough to push it.
Voter ID: You need some form of ID to get alcohol, cigarettes, to board a plane, and so on. Why shouldn’t it be required when you vote?

Economic Issues:
Welfare: Support Medicare, Medicaid, as well as subsidies for single mothers, and other disadvantaged people. Education/vocational training should be required for unemployment checks, however. I also think welfare should be run by the states.
Unions:  I support right to work legislation,
Privatization: Minor reforms to Social Security, but no privatizations of major welfare programs. Privatize certain departments of the federal government.
Environment: Basic regulations, but I’m not overly concerned, outside of the coal slurries.
Minimum wage: Keep minimum wage as it is.
Taxation: Implement a consumption tax.
Healthcare: Repeal Obamacare, and implement single payer healthcare funded by a national sales tax. Public healthcare will not be made available to illegal immigrants.
Trade: Repeal NAFTA, implement tariffs. Encourage reindustrialization.
Embargo: End the embargo on Cuba.
Pork: Oppose. It’s not healthy for our nation, and the money could be better spent.
Subsidies: End farm subsidies for agro corporations.
Military: Massive cuts, withdraw armed forces back to our hemisphere. Reduce spending by 40%.

Foreign Policy
War: Only by a Congressional declaration. Oppose almost all foreign interventions.
Israel-Palestine: Neutral, but push for a two state solution. End US military and economic aid to Israel.
Draft: Absolutely oppose.
UN: Remain in the UN, but I would prefer to see the UN gutted and reformed so it is more of a yearly diplomatic gathering and less of an influence on international affairs. The annoying third way, teary eyed internationalists who comprise most of the UN leadership want our nation to police the world.
Nukes: Maintain and occasionally upgrade the American nuclear arsenal, but do not expand it.
Foreign Aid:  Oppose all military aid. I support disaster relief, such as supporting Haiti, however,
Overall: Odd fusion of Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul. I support an ideally private healthcare system, but we are too far gone with Obamacare, so the only other option is full blown single payer. Otherwise I’m your standard Paleoconservative.
