Been a while since I did this, but:

Economic issues:
Taxes:  Shift to being more consumption based, keep progressivity through rebate
Climate:  fund more research in geoengineering, alternative energy, and adaptation
Regulation:  greatly pare back administrative state
Healthcare:  expand ACA subsidies, incentivize creation of more med schools

Social issues
Abortion:  ban except for life of mother.  I used to see this issue as even more important than religious freedom for non-christian faiths, but now I think that was probably a bridge too far
Gay marriage:  against, especially in light of rise of transgender revolution in part due to lack of perceived significant distinctions between sexes that this exacerbated.  Also discourage gay adoption, as kids really need a mother and father

Foreign policy:  draw back from overseas conflicts, divert more military spending to R&D that can help domestically

Social Issues: Right-wing with a Libertarian streak

Abortion: Strongly oppose. Provide government incentives for adoption and counseling for pregnant women who have been raped or sexually coerced. No taxpayer funding for abortions and no abortions for those under the age of 18.
Same-Sex Marriage: Abolish federal marriages and make it a religious decision. Opposes drag queen story time and puberty blockers and transition surgery for those under the age of 18. Opposed to the idea of trans athletes playing on the team represented of their gender, but it is a local decision.
Drugs: Decriminalize, focus on rehabilitation vs. punishment. Let states decide on legalizing marijuana.
Death Penalty: Strongly Oppose
Gun Control: Generally oppose, except for red-flag laws with due process and a voluntary buyback assault weapon program with financial incentives, but no mandatory buyback or confiscation programs.
Affirmative Action: Oppose, but support multicultural programs to improve race relations, excluding radical programs such as CRT.
Euthanasia: Strongly Oppose, although artificial life support/DNR's can be used
Prostitution: Decriminalize with rehabilitation
Criminal Justice: No for-profit prisons. Supports a European-style prison-reform where rehabilitation is emphasized over punishment. Nobody that commits a victimless crime should be imprisoned, except for financial crimes including tax evasion and insider trading. The UK Anti-social behavior order law of the '90s could be beneficial, but it could use some tweaking.
Surveillance: No warrantless spying. Repeal the Patriot Act. Feds can have access to personal information (internet searches, phone calls, emails) if a warrant is issued.
Police: Abolish qualified immunity, require body cameras. Supports Tim Scott's proposal for police reform during the last senate session. Increase police budget. Hire more officers in schools. More police in high-crime areas. Support police-initiated community programs in majority-minority neighborhoods.
Immigration: Opposes mass immigration. Crackdown on illegal immigration and deport immigrants with a criminal record and impose stiff fines on those who do not. Immigration should prioritize political and religious refugees. No more than 350,000 new immigrants a year. Supports a border wall and programs to stop drug/human trafficking and smuggling.
Religious Freedom: Allow those of different religions to practice freely. Supports public displays of the 10 Commandments, as well as the Statue of Baphomet. Supports voluntary school prayer and the discussion of religion in public schools, as long as the religion is not being used to force children to think/believe in a different way. The Bible can be used for historical/literature purposes etc. Religious holidays should not be observed unless a majority of families in the school district approve.
Freedom of Speech: Strongly supports, as long as it is non-threatening.
Property rights: People should own what is there's. The state should not take people's property for any use, unless there is a majority vote for those living in the area in which would be impacted.
Poverty: Supports programs to eliminate poverty including subsidized/affordable housing for the homeless.

Economic Issues: Center-left
Minimum Wage: Living wage for large/multinational corporations. Bartering for small businesses that cannot afford a living wage (allow businesses to pay employees under the minimum wage if they provide housing, food etc.). Support a NIT with a receiving cap of $30,000.
Tax rates: Support a balanced budget. Focus should be on military spending cuts and cracking down on tax loopholes/evasion, but raise taxes if the budget cannot be balanced.
Monopolies: Strongly support on large & multinational corporations. Support robust antitrust legislation.
Healthcare: Single-payer with private insurance option.
Social security: Remove the payroll tax cap.
Trade: Nation should be self-sustaining with a system of autarky. Minimize imports/exports whenever possible. Supported Trump's trade war with China. 20% base tariff on imported goods with higher or lower tariffs depending on the supply/demand.
Environment: Increase subsidies and research for renewable energy. Free college and temporary income for oil/coal/gas workers until they transition into green jobs. Abolish fossil fuel subsidies.
Education: Vouchers for low-income households for children to attend charter and/or religious schools. Supports the law Gov. DeSantis signed requiring schools to teach the ideology of extreme ideologies including Communism. Opposes free college. Teachers should  have body cameras for parents to access or be required to be available on a social media site such as Zoom.
Transit:  Free public transportation if they use renewable energy. Improve on existing railroads. Weary about creating new highways and railroads due to eminent domain and redlining concerns.
Stimulus/Jobs: Opposes corporate bailouts. Supports stimuli money to help those in sectors who have been laid off during times of recessions. Supports mass public work/infrastructure projects to combat unemployment. Supports a jobs guarantee program similar to the Humphrey-Hawkins Full Employment Act. Strongly supports unions , as well as economic democracy.

Foreign Policy: Dovish/Isolationist
Foreign Intervention: Oppose except for in cases where The United States was attacked/clear evidence it is going to be attacked. Mainly focus on sanctions/travel embargoes during times of peace. Travel and trade to countries with human rights abuses should be prohibited, unless the traveler has family living in said country. Opposes regime change wars.
China: Attempt to push back in a realistic manner to avoid a global depression.
Israel: Pro-Israel
Iran: Anti-Iran nuclear deal.
India: Improve relations against the influence of Iran.
Allies: Focus on improving relations with South Korea & Japan against the influence of China & North Korea.
NATO: Oppose
UN: Oppose, but it seems unrealistic to pull out. Instead decrease funding and focus on state & local programs and guidelines.
Defense budget: Reduce by 20%, remove all inactive troops and close overseas bases. Accelerate to attempt to create a full-technology, minimal solider military.
Territories: Strongly oppose. Territories should hold referendums to become states or become independent.
Foreign Aid: Oppose except for during times of war.

Electoral Reform: Anti-Corruption/Pro-People
Electoral College: Abolish it. Ranked choice voting.
Gerrymandering: Should be decided by a nonpartisan commission.
Term Limits: Opposed except for executive offices.
Voter ID: Strongly support
Voter Registration: Automatic registration for legal citizens.
Voting age: Keep at 18
Mandatory voting: Strongly opposed
Statehood: Support due to referendum results
Filibuster: Strongly support
Direct Democracy: Strongly support.
Supreme Court: Keep the 9 current justices, but future elections should be nonpartisan and elected by the people, similar to how they elect them in Wisconsin.

I think some of my stances have changed enough for an update:

What's changed:

Social issues: Right-libertarian

Affirmative Action: Ensure there's clear lines against discrimination. Businesses have the right to deny service to any group of their choice as long as there is a sign on their door.

Criminal Justice: Rather than decriminalize victimless crimes like my similar proposal (gambling, pornography, recreational drug use, prostitution etc.) , I think reforming the criminal justice system into a tier-3 rehabilitation system for these crimes would be better. All of these would be followed by additional outpatient counseling/therapy and/or job placement support if needed.
Tier 1 (low-level): No physical addiction. 30 days of inpatient treatment
Tier 2 (medium level): Risk of physical addition. 60 days of inpatient treatment
Tier 3 (high-risk): Physical addiction. 90 days of inpatient treatment.

Prisons:

Those who commit nonviolent crimes including financial crimes should after initial arrest/booking, serve their sentence on house arrest with a GPS bracelet device and confiscation of personal electronics traded in for a phone/computer owned by the state until their sentence is over. No more prison sentences, instead it is based off of evidence of risk, remorse, rehabilitation, and psychological well being.

Maximum security: For violent and/or sexual offenders. Same as our current prison sentence, but sentencing would be replaced with yearly hearings to determine risk level/psychological health for crimes that would merit over a year of jail time.

Minimum security: For those that are homeless or evicted during their house arrest sentence. Homeless individuals who are not serving sentences can come and go as they please as well for food and shelter on a vacancy basis.

Police: Similar to before only I now support a system of hiring mental health officers during non-violent calls (a new mental health hotline), as well as more funding for community/social programs to reduce crime.

Immigration: Keep ICE but only have them focus on deportation of violent offenders/ensuring catch & release doesn't occur. Divert some ICE funding to the states and have them determine their protocol of what they would do if a criminal crosses the border. Suspend immigration during public health/terrorism crises temporarily but reopen as soon as possible. Primary focus on ICE should be crime reduction. No welfare for illegal immigrants, until they receive citizenship. State/Local governments should decide whether or not to allow voting in those elections but not nationally. States should decide whether or not to build a border wall. Total of 300,000 new citizens a year with a merit based system, but deport anyone who has a history of violence, sexual, or financial offenses. Exempt those fleeing from countries with human rights abuses, as well as those who are facing religious persecution in which they would be allowed citizenship.

Freedom of Speech: Support. Warrants stemming from free speech should only be issued if there is undeniable evidence that someone is about to commit a crime.

Property rights: Right to private property, government should not take land, strong enforcement of eminent domain.

Economics: Center

Minimum Wage: Allow states to set their own minimum wage. NIT with a receiving line at the poverty line with net payment including taxes, adjusted every year during inflation.

Trade: Similar only with more of an emphasis of supporting localism.

Welfare: Require weekly meetings with a social worker or case manager for all welfare recipients to track their status (job searching, any mental health problems if applicable, get help for any addictions if applicable etc). Terminate benefits once they have received a job, unless they are under the poverty line or a recipient of social security.

Environment: End subsidies and allow the free market to determine the cheapest form of energy. Jobs should be determined by the free market.

Education: Increase vouchers to all those who cannot afford the tuition to send their child to a religious or charter school (not just low-income). Still opposes the idea of free college but supports the idea of free vocational/trade schools. Send education to the state/local levels. Parents have a right to determine their childs education.

Transportation:  Should be managed by the cities/states they serve.

Stimulus/Jobs:
Unions should be curbed of their corrupt excesses but union members should still be at the forefront of creating a more democratic economy. Bring back guilds.

Foreign Policy: Still dovish/isolationist

Military: Keep military-related pensions but still focus on foreign/domestic peace keeping.

Lift travel embargoes but restrict trade with countries with clear human rights abuses (with the exception of China).

Form a temporary axis of Asian countries to influence The Middle East/Far-East (India, South Korea, Japan, etc.).

Foreign Aid: Oppose in almost all cases

Term limits: Should be up to the constituents but pass legislation prohibiting them from getting bought & paid for.

Voting Age: 18 (lower if one can pass a test to prove knowledge of American history, politics, history etc.).

(*) Obviously i do support democracy, although i'm very critical of the current implementation of it. I just disagree with the notion. We've had society for years & years & years in not democratic systems for example. And life goes on in countries like China.

(**) I'd like a divide between religious stuff and irreligious stuff here. I do think the aspect of religion severely limits productivity of our society, while also hindering freedom, science & other stuff. So yes i'd like restrictions on those and i'd prefer a phasing out of every religious aspect, starting with eliminating group-experienced religion and phasing out gatherings of religious people (churches/mosques/everything). Whatever a person believes in at home is none of my business as long they do it inside their circle. Secondly if a person wears a burqa, that's none of the business of a gvment. I would not prosecute religious people, but i would yes make things harder, and start a project of phasing out religious activities, and especially be tight with those on schools. What the elderly believe in, i care less about, they'll soon die, but it's the future generations that will have to be raised as agnost/atheist. But i also believe that you cannot do this in one day or one generation, that will take a long time and you have to realize that or next thing you do is prosecuting people for their beliefs, but I think it should be strongly encouraged to move to a society where religion is less of a divide, and doesn't limit their understanding of science and knowledge.

For ideology, i also believe there should be restrictions, like should a person be freely a nazist. I don't believe so. There should be some control. Freedom of opinion can be dangerous as well, like it is harmful when you attack someone on race. It is harmful when you fatshame someone. Certain opinions are harmful, even if they're just opinions.

The police were not made to protect the people, but to uphold the status quo by force. STRONGLY DISAGREE
-> what does this mean actually (perhaps i misunderstood)

Jury nullification should be legal. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
-> and what is this?

I don't feel like typing an entire novel, but I'm basically an old-school Dixiecrat minus the abhorrent views on segregation and racism. I have even voted for George Wallace for governor (in the '80s.... he had reversed course and even won the black vote at that time)

I'm fiscally progressive (with a particular emphasis on worker rights and healthcare) and socially conservative (generally anti-abortion, pro-gun, very religious)

I vote primarily based on the economic concerns for the working people in this country so I predominantly vote Democratic and consider myself a Democrat though I have voted R on a few occasions. Basically, whoever is the most pro-worker while being the least socially liberal gets my vote.

Social Issues:

Abortion: Oppose late term abortions, support legal abortion within the first trimester. I do believe however that states have a right to set restrictions and think that if the issue had been decided on a state by state basis rather then via judicial fiat you wouldn’t be seeing the sorts of draconian Texas style laws implemented.

Gay Marriage/LGBT Rights: Strongly support

Immigration: I support streamlining the process of legal immigration and making it significantly easier. I’d also abolish ICE and return to the sort of arrangement that existed in the INS era while prioritizing the deportation of violent criminals and allow all other undocumented immigrants to have an easy path to citizenship. I particularly think that people who oppose DACA are cruel and heartless.

Gun Control: Mandatory universal background checks which emphasize violent crime rather then mental health which I think is discriminatory, gun buyback programs and restrict the manufacture of the most dangerous sorts of handguns. Long term I think this would have the effect of decreasing the number of guns in circulation more effectively then existing gun control laws.

Drugs: Legalize marijuana for all adults 18 and older. Decriminalize some hard drugs with an emphasis on harm reduction.

Alcohol: Lower the drinking age to 18.

Prostitution: Hesitant but open to supporting full legalization. For now I’m inclined to say the emphasis should be on harm reduction.

Death Penalty: Oppose

Black Lives Matter: Support

Affirmative Action: Keep for race, eliminate for gender, expand to include income level.
Economic Issues:

Unions: Repeal Taft-Hartley, enact card check, outlaw right to work laws at the federal level. Everyone should be in a union.

Healthcare: Enact a British NHS style system, rather then Medicare For All make it a VA for all.

Taxation: Return the top federal tax rate to Kennedy/Johnson levels for top earners, enact a wealth tax and cut taxes for the bottom 90%

Tariffs: Good if protecting unionized jobs, bad if being used to block drug importation and protect agribusiness.

Student Debt: Forgive it, make college free.

I’d also support a Green New Deal style program (with a greater emphasis on nuclear though) and think that any worker in oil or coal who would be out of a job should either be fully compensated or guaranteed employment in a more environmentally friendly job at a higher wage.

Government should also fund NASA at 1960s level and invest massively in scientific research and the NIH more generally. We should also have universal paid family leave.

Other stuff:

Generally civil libertarian, I think the NSA needs to be reformed and I’d repeal the patriot act. However this has its limits. I would have supported making the initial COVID lockdowns more stringent and I strongly favor vaccine mandates with no exceptions other then health. COVID actually made me realize I was less libertarian then I’d previously thought.

On foreign policy I’m generally dovish but open to supporting humanitarian intervention to prevent genocide. Biden made the right call in getting out of Afghanistan and it took courage to do something that was politically unpopular. I support Israel’s right to exist but also believe the US needs to exert more leverage to achieve a peace deal. We need to repair our relationship with China while becoming less dependent on them economically.

Social beliefs:
Abortion: Legally in all cases. It should be left to the damn women to choose whatever she wants it or not.
LGBTQ: Strongly supportive. Appoint SC Justices who will upheld the rights of the LGBTQ community.
Immigration: Open the borders for all immigrants who want the chance to journey into our wonderful nation.
Gun Control: Put a stop on all gun manufacturing, issue a gun ban which will get rid of all weapons from being produced or distributed into the nation.
Death Penalty: Abolish at the federal level. Appoint Supreme Court justices who will stand on this view.
Separation of Church and State: Remove the Pledge of Allegiance, remove "In God we Trust" from the dollar bill. No mandatory prayer at public funded schools.
Prostitution: Keep it to the state level

Police reform: Abolish the police force in no time.
Reparations: Issue a reparation plan which goes to all families of former slave owners.
Mask Mandates: Support at all level of public involvement.
Vaccine Mandates: Mandated for ALL people living in the country. Business can fine against an employee if they don't get their vaccine shot.

What's changed:

Social issues: Right-wing

Immigration: Same as original, only refugees should be excluded from the original 350,000 quota and should be allowed to become citizens, but deported if they commit a crime after their sentence.

Economic: Center-left

Jobs: Supports a guild/co-op system for employment. Government jobs should be reorganized based off of skills and interests. Workplaces should be democratized. I generally support the free market, although some aspects of a planned economy including the nationalization of certain businesses could be necessary to achieve autarky.

Environment: I no longer support free public transport if they use renewables.

Highways: I'm open to the ideas of moving highways underground, especially through cities in order to create more opportunities for free enterprise, parks, and reconnecting old neighborhoods, including reversing the harm redlining has done. It is necessary for Jefferson's original vision, while planting more farms, fields, and trees can make the areas more environmentally friendly. The Big Dig in Boston is an example on how these highways could operate in certain areas.

Foreign policy: Dovish/Peaceful

I still oppose most wars as they are unnecessary and only benefit the MIC, but there are some cases where our military should intervene, not to fight, but to free. Eisenhower liberating Nazi Germany is an example. We should not send people to fight, but rather to free, although I remain opposed to regime change wars, as I cannot think of a successful regime change operation.

What's changed as of 2/22:

Foreign policy: Moderate
Subscriber to Thomas Aquinas's "Just War" principle.

No only opposed to multilateral agreements. They should be reviewed and then withdrawn if it's obsolete.

No longer a supporter of reducing military spending. Supporter of a strong but humble military. "Speak softly and carry a big stick". Supports increased military action either in the case of foreign aid or sending troops when allies are facing war.

Foreign aid should be reviewed on a case by case basis. While other countries should increase their militaries, some cannot afford to do so. In that case we can either give them aid or build military equipment.

Thought it'd be fun to do this, because I don't really know where I stand politically these days. Here goes nothing:

Social Issues:

Abortion: Strongly pro-choice. I don't think all abortion restrictions are necessarily unreasonable, but I think it's more fair to leave the choice to the individual women in question. Keep in mind I'm from Canada which has probably the most liberal abortion laws anywhere, so the specific context of Canada will affect my answer on this and other things.

Gay Marriage/LGBT Rights: Strongly support

Immigration: The flow of human capital is, on balance, a good thing. But there should be controls in place. Immigration should be sustainable and take into consideration the hosting country's needs and capacity. Illegal/undocumented immigrants already in the country should be given a path to legal residency and citizenship, and should not be denied access to basic services - however, the flow of immigration should be controlled.

Gun Control: Again, contextual. In Canada I think gun control measures should target the black market and not legal ownership, and I particularly oppose the Liberal government's moves on this front. In general though I'd say gun ownership should be allowed for people without criminal records, but high-capacity magazines and many modifications should be banned. Semi-auto rifles and handguns should have stricter restrictions than, say, shotguns or bolt-action guns.

Drugs: Keep marijuana legal for everyone over 18, and look into limited legalization of mushrooms. Decriminalize drug use, but enforce harsh penalties against trafficking and dealing.

Alcohol: Lower the drinking age to 18.

Prostitution: People should not be punished for selling their bodies for money, period. But I hesitate to support complete legalization, because as can be seen in places like the Netherlands, this can create an issue with trafficking.

Death Penalty: Oppose

Black Lives Matter: The movement against the killing and mistreatment of black people by the police, support whole-heartedly. The organization, I support their core mission but oppose certain far-left and anarchist elements. I don't think "defund the police" is a good idea in general. The police should absolutely be demilitarized and their training should shift more towards de-escalation and harm reduction - but the idea of broadly diverting police funds to social services strikes me as a little naive, and I don't think the early experiments with this have helped.

Affirmative Action: Very uncomfortable with the idea, but I think completely ending it would do more harm than good. I generally don't think it should be present in the workplace, but in education and training I'm more supportive.

Economic Issues:

Unions: Workers have the right to unionize, and this right should be protected. I don't support right-to-work laws as it only creates a free rider problem. That said, I think public sector unions in particular have too much power. Governments should respect and protect the right on workers to organize, but governments also have the authority to reject unions' demands and enact back-to-work legislation.

Healthcare: Universal access should be guaranteed. I'm not opposed to private delivery of care, but people have a right to medical care.

Taxation: Keep taxes at the minimum level required to meet the government's mandates. I oppose the idea of using taxation as a means of achieving greater equality. Corporate taxes in particular should not be raised unless absolutely necessary, as they just tend to get passed on to the consumer.

Income tax cuts, when appropriate, should be done by cutting the lowest brackets, as this results in tax cuts for everyone and has the greatest net benefit to low income earners - in the case of jurisdictions with a 0% bracket like Canada and most of its provinces, the threshold of that bracket should be raised instead of reducing the rate for individual brackets.

Tariffs: Bad, except in the context of national security. The idea of enacting tariffs to "protect jobs" ultimately cause more harm than good by raising prices for everyone and worsening inflation.

Student Debt: Don't support student loan forgiveness, it would cost far too much, and on average, someone who has hefty student debts to get higher education is still better off than someone who has no higher education. However, the current system of student financing in the US creates perverse incentives and raises tuition. I'm no expert on how to fix this, but forgiving student debt is not something I support.

I think moving towards debt-free college is a good idea, but it depends on how you finance and administer it. Grants, government-backed loans, and bursaries should be more widely available.

Energy/Oil: Nuclear development, where financially sustainable, should be supported, as should green energy. End subsidies to fossil fuel companies. I do not support the Green New Deal, because it has provisions like the job guarantee which I think are misguided. Fossil fuels will not go away tomorrow, but we should prioritize a transition towards more sustainable forms of energy.

Climate Change: Support the scientific consensus, and fostering more global action on climate change. Innovation on clean energy and carbon mitigation should be supported, because I don't think getting the whole world to dramatically reduce energy consumption is a realistic goal. Support the idea of carbon pricing in theory, but again, without global cooperation, it could just end up being a nuisance with no real results.

Other stuff:

COVID restrictions: Oh boy. If you've been following what's going on in Canada as of February 2022, you'll understand why I felt the need to say "oh boy."

Initially, I was very supportive of all COVID measures. I think Omicron (and Canada's very high vaccination rate) have changed my view a little bit. In general, restrictions should be used in a targeted way to manage outbreaks, and I have no problem with mask mandates. Vaccine mandates can be used to limit spread in specific, high-risk settings. What I emphatically oppose is the idea of using mandates to increase compliance, especially in a country with one of the highest vaxxed rates in the world. The scientific consensus in Canada has started to shift a little, arguing that we have to learn to live with COVID. At one point, it will have to be up to individuals to take responsibility for avoiding dangerous situations when they feel the need, and self-isolate when they have symptoms. People should get the support they need to do this. However, lockdowns have had negative impacts on education, business, mental health, and even social cohesion. When most Canadians are vaccinated, and we have very strict restrictions, but COVID is still not being contained, we need to shift our scope from containment towards management.

Generally civil libertarian, I think a healthy skepticism of government (and all forms of authority) are necessary for a free society. However, nobody exists in a vacuum, and we all have a responsibility to respect others and the law. Tyranny and anarchy are both evil - governments should be limited in their ability to restrict civil liberties, but not in the ability to enforce existing laws. I think this is an importance balance.

On foreign policy, not exactly hawkish, but probably more so than dovish in today's context. For something topical, I absolutely support defending Ukraine, although leaving military intervention as a last resort. In general, I think military action should be used only as a last resort. All NATO countries should aim to contribute 2% of GDP to their military, and I think Canada should gradually increase spending once we kill the structural deficit. Strongly oppose nation-building and think Bush's handling of the Iraq War was one of the worst decisions made by a recent President. However, I do not support isolationism, and think that the west should defend its allies and intervene to stop genocides. The American military-industrial complex should be defunded, the military does not exist to create jobs, but to defend the country and its allies.

Reparations: Issue a reparation plan which goes to all families of former slave owners.

Are you saying descendants of slave owners should fit the bill for reparations? If so, that is terrible policy. It is not your fault what your ancestors did and you should not be punished for their crimes. Making them pay for something they have never partaken in is abhorrent, and this kind of thinking is one of the many, many flaws with the reasons/implementation plans liberals given for supporting reparations.

Generally I'd say I'm to the left of Biden but to the right of Bernie.

Social Issues: I'd say I'm pretty Libertarian on most social issues. I support things like Roe, LGBTQ+ rights, and gun ownership (with common sense restrictions to ensure that we can use guns responsibly for the good of the public.) I'm indifferent to a lot of culture war issues since it's usually distracting from actual issues that affect the majority of us (who tf cares if a trans kid joins a sports team when most Americans can't afford to own a home?) All in all to sum up my positions on social issues "If they aren't actively hurting anybody or disrupting the peace then leave them alone.

Economic Issues: I'm very much Center Left on economic issues. I think the biggest mistake this country made was deregulating the economy and slashing the social safety net. It is because of this bad public policy making that we lag behind other industrialized nations in terms of health and quality of life. I think trade unions do more good than harm and that we should be doing anything possible to grow the middle class. I'm all for raising taxes when they ought to be raised, and cutting them when they ought to be cut. I do agree that we need to raise the minimum wage but it should be proportional to the cost of living of the states individually rather than nationally, twelve dollars goes a long way in rural Kentucky than it does in urban California.

Other issues: I support reforming the electoral college to be fairer for both parties.
Most states should have independent commissions for redistricting.
The number of seats in the house should be increased in accordance with our population now.

Religion: Full ban on proselytizing. Period. I don't care about your religion, and I don't want to hear your stupid ing protests at military funerals for no reason. And for all you southern baptists- your church was founded for the sole purpose of justifying slavery. Also increase hate crime enforcement to protect Jews and Muslims (lol ER be like 'Growing hostility towards Christians in this country).

Wow, edgy!  How exactly would you go about banning evangelism without stopping free speech and free exercise of religion (since following Jesus's command before ascending into Heaven requires evangelism)?

Also, no serious Christian protests military funerals.  The Westboro Baptist "Church" isn't authentic Biblical Christianity.

I suppose I should change that, and I've moderated my position on hot-button social issues since Confederategate. I suppose I'd instead say anyone who works in as a governmental employee or a company that gets most of its business from the government should be prohibited from spending money on religious causes. I'm actually fine with private citizens doing whatever they please with regards to religion- but if your salary is paid by the government, it's paid for by the tax dollars of non-religious/other religion folks, who make up 40% of the country. And because of disproportionate income and earnings among groups like Jews and Hindus, we could well be looking at 50% of revenue. It's a simple thing of 'taxpayers should not have to pay for something they disagree with). I'd be fine with an Italian system, where taxpayers are required to donate to a religious charity, but they can choose which one (so Jews could pay into a Jewish organization, but Protestants could pay into some organization that reflects their faith).

Then again I also favor shrinking the government so this wouldn't be much of a problem, ideally.

And, in hindsight, I should not have called you out specifically.

Social Issues:

Abortion-Women have the right to abortion in the first trimester. In the 2nd and third trimester, states can regulate(protect for rape and incest in these cases though b/c that is punishing the victim) Ban partial-birth abortion though.
Gay Rights-More libertarian on this issue. Don’t really have anything to say(though, don’t get all of the discourse on both sides though)
Immigration:Legal immigration is good. Illegal immgration is really bad(No amnesty/no letting them vote) Don’t put them in cages though.Support building the wall/increasing border spending and increasing the amount of legal immigrants.
Gun Control-Background checks, basically don’t know much about guns other than that.
Drugs:Legalize Marijuana, heavily crack down on illegal drugs though(preferably send the victims to drug recovery centers and the dealers to prison)
Crime:Tough on Crime, increase police spending, train them better so you can supply the police with better weapons, reform them so they aren’t nearly as prone to commit police brutality; support the death penalty

Economic Issues:

Unions-Private Unions should be allowed and NLRB be enforced; either way on public unions
Healthcare:Keep Obamacare/just put caps on drug prices
Trade-Very free trade
Minimum Wage-Raise it
Student Debt-Personally think the situation is fine(maybe a 1-5k relief for poor students extra?) Probably the most overblown issue
Oil/Gas/Climate Change:Basically, drilling oil and gas should be prioritized to reduce poverty and gas prices, just spend more money on researching more effective climate policies
COVID:Can we just go back to normal with the restrictions. I wear a mask personally, but seriously; looking forward to normalcy
Monopolies:Meh.
Capitalism or Socialism:Capitalism all the way

Foreign Policy:

Military:Very Strong Military
Foreign Policy-Isolate China/Russia, make political agreements with SE Asia and strengthen NATO
Views on War-Tbch, the economic big stick/heavy sanctions might be a bigger deterrent of war than threatening war

Views on certain things:
Electoral College:The propo
nents and opponents are political hacks
Filibuster:Support

Personally, I don't have many strong views on much except for crime and economic issues. If you can convince me about why something is good, I will listen and consider it.

Ideology:

Pew Research Center-Ambivalent Right
Another Pew Research Center-Mainstream Liberal
Tweet Ideology:Tilt Liberal
News Diet:75% Centrist
Left/Right Axis:2.33
Auth/Lib 2.67
Prog/Con Axis 0.94 CON

2020 Vote-Biden, I got really sick and annoyed of Trump and wanted someone who would cause me to forget caring about politics
2022 Vote:Republican, Democrats pretty much failed at inflation, they deserve to be voted out unless they turn it around

Copying Greg's template

Social Issues
Abortion: Pro-life, except for cases of rape and to save the life of the mother (up to a certain point)
Birth Control: Should be legal and feminine products shouldn't be taxed as a luxury item; I also support comprehensive sex ed at the state/local level
Same-Sex Marriage: Support
Legalization of Drugs: I think it would be best to prosecute drug dealers and those whose drugs led to people's deaths strongly while decriminalizing regular use and discouraging it, especially for harder drugs apart from cannabis. I think a medical cannabis law federally would be good and allowing states to legalize it recreationally and tax and regulate it.
Gun Control: Oppose
Prostitution: Decriminalize for prostitutes but strongly discourage at health departments, for example; urge prostitutes to regularly get tested and strongly prosecute solicitors/customers and pimps/madams.
Affirmative Action: Oppose
Reparations: Oppose
Police Reform/BLM: Don't defund the police but some limited reforms are needed especially in cities (e.g., I support body cams at the state or local level). Training should also be improved. Criminal justice reform is needed.
Private Prisons: Oppose; I also think prisoners should work off the cost of their imprisonment but they shouldn't be treated badly for no reason. Violent criminals who are undocumented should be imprisoned and then deported so they can't just come back into the country as is the case when people (criminal or not) are deported en masse.
Big Tech: Regulate
Free Speech: As long as it doesn't incite violence, you should be allowed to say whatever you want
PATRIOT Act: Leave it alone, I suppose
Eminent Domain: Oppose, unless that person's home will more than likely cause damage to others. In the rare case that eminent domain would happen, fair compensation must be provided.
Immigration: Comprehensive Immigration Reform and allow more refugees especially Christian Arabs, Ukrainians, Tibetans, Hong Kongers, and Haitians; protect DACA and TPS, I don't support open borders but if the process to come in legally is easier than coming in illegally which is expensive and extremely dangerous then we wouldn't have a border "crisis." Don't continue building the wall but keep what's there.
Mask Mandates: Oppose
Vaccine Mandates: Oppose
COVID-19 Vaccines: They work, and I personally did get boosted; side effects and deaths do happen but it's less likely than bad effects from COVID itself

Economic Issues
Free Trade: Opposed NAFTA, USMCA is fine
Taxes: Extend the Trump era middle class tax cuts and restore taxes on the wealthy to 1950s rates to reduce the national debt -- our tax system is pretty unfair to the wealthy but it's not as if they can't afford to pay and high rates shouldn't reduce economic growth as we saw in the 50s.

I think inheritance tax/estate tax is pretty unfair but they should remain due to our big debt problem at least for a while. I don't support a wealth tax or a tax on unrealized gains though because that is fundamentally anti-capitalist, impractical, etc.
Healthcare: Support a voluntary public option, allow Medicare to negotiate the cost of life saving drugs (inc. insulin), allow drug importation from Canada and allow insurance companies to compete across state lines
Social Security: I would consider partial privatization (by personal choice) but only if benefits won't be decreased for the average person and/or the cap on social security tax could be removed to shore up funds for the program.
National Debt: Support paying down the national debt, even if that means cuts across the board and tax hikes on the wealthy
Campaign Finance Reform: Support
Unions: Neutral
Disability: No changes needed
Tarriffs: Meh, maybe some limited tariffs to support key US industries -- free trade with our allies is fine but I don't support outsourcing
Outsourcing: Oppose
Monopolies: Break them up, end subsidies for big ag and the fossil fuel industry

Foreign Policy
Foreign Aid: We barely give any to begin with and it's barely any of our budget. That being said, we should probably increase funding significantly, maybe to 1-1.5% of GDP to counter Chinese spending (for influence) in Africa.
UN Funding: Meh
NATO: Absolutely do not withdraw...doing so would allow Russia (and China) to run roughshod over much of the world
WHO: Remain but I don't like the WHO covering for China
Paris Deal: Remain but China and India need to pull their own weight too
Afghanistan: We should have withdrawn in 2004 but in a more orderly fashion. We should have gotten American citizens out first, and then our military personnel & equipment.
Iraq: I probably would have supported the war at the time, believing the WMD claim but we should have left in 2007 probably, if not earlier.
Iran: I supported the Iran Nuclear Deal at the time but it's a bad deal to rely on their word that they aren't developing nuclear weapons just as Trump's deal that had the Taliban agree to prevent terrorists organizing in their country is a bad deal because we only have the word of very unreliable people. So, sanctions, I guess.
Cuba: Keep the trade embargo until they become a free country.
China: Sanctions, I suppose. Continue to support HK and Taiwan.
Russia: Support sanctions
Section 230: Leave it alone, I suppose.

Education
CRT: Oppose
Evolution: We should teach evolution, and not creationism; tell students they need to know evolution for the test but they can believe what they like
School Prayer: Allow individual students to pray, but do not allow any adult to lead prayer in an official capacity as a faculty member
Sallie Mae: Their lending tactics are predatory but leave it alone aside from some minor changes to their practices, I suppose
Free College: Oppose
Free School Breakfasts/Lunches: Support but it should be a state/local decision

Environment
Climate Change: Is real, and is caused by humans to a large degree
Green New Deal: Tilt Yes? We need climate action and infrastructure. The cost is a major con to the plan though. If the $93 trillion dollar price tag is for real that's too much.
Carbon Tax: Yes, but use the proceeds to pay toward social spending (existing not new spending)
Keystone Pipeline: No

Elections
Big Lie: I was unsure about if Biden won legitimately. I think he probably did but there were likely some shenanigans in his favor during the electoral process.
Voter ID: Should be mandatory and free to all adults who want to vote (on a state-by-state basis, no federal mandate) -- If photo ID is required, it should be included on free voter ID given to voters.
Audits: Meh.
Term Limits: No
DC: Give the district 1 Senator and 1 Rep. through a constitutional amendment
PR: Statehood or Independence under a COFA w/ the USA
SCOTUS: No changes needed.

Many issues were left out but this is a pretty good overview.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me

big lie: it's called that for a reason
voter id: ok with it as long as people can get one for free
audits: don't care
term limits: status quo
DC: let their reps vote, give them more local authority, if you want me to support full statehood you have to come up with a better name than "state of washington, douglass commonwealth"
puerto rico: they voted for statehood, give them statehood
scotus: term limits, pack it at least until sam alito dies (soon inshallah)
