Thank you TNF!

I will probably write the Midwest Immigration Act this week-end, I have some ideas about that!

Looks good but I'm not a fan of the tax. Ideally we would nationalize the brothels and wouldn't have to worry about it.

Yeah, it would be a good idea! Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can do that as Midwest Governor!

You can't, so we must elect the proper federal officials.

Polygamy? Is this serious? I will try to be "open-minded" before being strongly against that. But could a pro polygamy explain me why we should legalise that?

I have 3 concerns:
- Don t you believe this bill would just completely desorganize our société? Like divorce, help for parents raising kids,...
- Don t you believe It couldn t have some mysoginist aspects?
- And seriously, is this bill really necessary? Polygamy isn t strictly forbidden after all.

Well, I will delete my post in the petition thread. I want to understand how a lot can support that encore going hard against that.

I stand with the Governor on this one, and as Representative Adam FitzGerald stated, I hope that similar bills will not reach the Most Serene Republic. Despite the merits of tolerance towards such marriages, I remain unconvinced that such a proposal would actually prove beneficial to our society.

Its actually not polygamy at all nor is it any form of marriage. Consider marriage abolished.

Well, your thoughts about this last bill? Sorry for grammar problems and other problems, but I'm exhausted by having written that. Tongue

Great bill, Governor! The large fines will be a good balance to the budget spending here and protecting the rights of illegal immigrants from discrimination and helping them find jobs/get govt assistance is a must. It's good that it's further expanding voting rights to and I like the language accommodations. We could even do French to since it's another major language and Atlasia borders Quebec.

Reminds me of the Zimbabwean law until 1987 that reserved 20% of seats in Parliament for members of the White race group.

I oppose reserving public services for the exclusive use of specific race groups, just as I oppose reserving 20% of the Zimbabwean parliament only for people with White skin.

However, I strongly support clauses 2 and 3 in the positive discrimination section. We should use funds and programs to encourage and help minorities instead of setting quotas.

Thank you for sharing your opinion Hifly.
I know it's a bit controversial, but I do believe reserving seats for minorities is a "lesser evil" and better than the statu quo, where differences between races are extremely important!

I have to agree with hifly. I strongly support the other two sections of the Positive Discrimination, but the first one is simply quotas. I hope that gets amended.

I strongly encourage you to participate to the Althing's debate about this issue. I'm of course willing to compromise in order to pass this bill!

Well, I will have to go to hospital on Monday . Nothing important and I should quickly return to Atlasia. I apologize in advance for probably closing Voting Booth too late. If on Thursday, I have not returned yet, I will officially take a Leave of Absence until the end of the next week. Arturo would serve as Acting Governor until the end of the next week and would be able to close Voting Booth.
