Article.

Capito (R)- 45%
Tennant (D)- 39%

EMILY's List commissioned this, so make of that what you will.

Capito is probably leading by 10-12 at this time, Tennant is improving but she can't trail Capito by only 6 points.

Looks like a reasonable high point for Tennant. This seat is Capito's as long as she wants it. I expect WV will become more D-friendly once Obama gets out of office, but Capito will survive no matter what.

Even if I consider this race "Lean Rep", I don't see Capito losing. I just hope it will help Tennant's future, I really like her!

This race was always within striking distance for Tennant. The oil spill and Temnant's improved name recognition will make this close at end.

Never underestimate the power of the local WV democratic party.  They continue to win statewide races despite their poor performances in presidential elections since 2000.  From Day 1, I believed this one would be far tougher for the GOP to take than some may have thought.

But, I do think Capito should win in the end.

She has, so far steered away from controversey, Capito. As do most moderate female GOP congresswomen. But, WVa is conservative and wait til the Fall when the campaign gets heated. I don't expect Tennant or Walsh to lead in the open seats. But if it is close enough, they can win it with turnout.
