In a matchup against GOP gubernatorial favorite Charlie Baker, Coakley leads by a 44-31 percent margin, according to the Suffolk/Herald poll.

But Baker fares much better against the other Democratic candidates, beating Grossman by 5 points and the rest of the Democrats by double-digit margins.

...

Democratic voters are standing strong behind Coakley, whose U.S. Senate loss in 2010 made her the object of national ridicule, according to the Suffolk/Herald poll.

Coakley is getting an impressive 56 percent of the vote in a crowded Democratic field and leads her nearest competitor, Treasurer Steven Grossman, by a 45-point margin, the poll reveals.

Just 11 percent of Democratic voters are backing Grossman while 4 percent are backing former Homeland Security official Juliette Kayyem. The rest of the field is not even cracking the 1 percent level, the poll of 600 likely voters shows.

I really can't imagine Coakley screws up again here.

I think she deserves another chance.  She made some mistakes and screwed up what could have easily been a dem gain, yes.  But not only did we get it back two years later, we got Warren out of it.

Well this is Massachusetts and Baker is weaker than Brown so I don't think there's any chance she blows this.

I agree Coakley deserves a second chance, but I prefer the underdog Juliette Kayyem to be perfectly honest.
