Is Duke that really Federalist party establishment. He was not even a member of that party until it was time for a primary if he wanted a second mandate.

Other main parties don't seem to put much effort in challenging him in a future election. He is probably well connected to other parties establishment.

Perhaps you're right, as I'm not really sure what entitles the Federalist establishment these days. By "establishment", I assumed the ones who want to win and put that ahead of ideology. I think a lot of people know that Duke made a conscious choice to join the Federalists. Choosing the Federalist route was the more difficult one. A second term for him would be fairly guaranteed so long as he was a member of a major political party. I'd guess that basically explains why the other parties haven't been in a rush to field candidates. Still though, it seems like in part the Federalist primary is so tough because a contingent feels like Duke has been the third Labor President, heh.

Vith the 72% of the votes in, we can project that Duke has won the Federalist Presidential Primary.

72% IN

President Duke (Fed-SC) / Vice President Matt (Fed-VT) 19 (52,8%)
Former IDS Governor Reaganfan (Fed-OH) / Mideast Governor Spiral (Fed-MO) 15 (41,7%)
Abstain 2 (5,5%)

Nevertheless, I would like to personally congratulate with Reaganfan for her campaign.

The close primary is due to Duke being unorthodox on both fiscal and social issues. If he was at least somewhat pro-life he would've gotten Miles & my* vote. If he was a bit more free market he probably would have swung Rooney, Electionsguy & PiT. Since he wasn't either of those things, Reaganfan was able to produce a diverse AnythingButDuke coalition.

* I vastly prefer Duke, both fiscally and stylistically, but abortion is a dealbreaker for me. Duke still gets an enthusiatic vote in the general.

Apparently, some a majority of Federalists have forgotten who their nominee is in the presidential race. Amusing that Duke has received only four more [1]s from Federalists as he has from Laborites, with just a little over 1/4 of his [1]s coming from his own party.

[1]s by Party:

FED -> Duke: 8
FED -> Spiral: 10
FED -> TNF: 0

LAB -> Duke: 4
LAB -> Spiral: 1
LAB -> TNF: 16

PRO -> Duke: 8
PRO -> Spiral: 0
PRO -> TNF: 2

CMP -> Duke: 1
CMP -> Spiral: 1
CMP -> TNF: 1

D-R -> Duke: 0
D-R -> Spiral: 5
D-R -> TNF: 1

RGP -> Duke: 3
RGP -> Spiral: 0
RGP -> TNF: 0

OTH -> Duke: 1
OTH -> Spiral: 0
OTH -> TNF: 1
OTH -> EarlAW: 1

IND -> Duke: 4
IND -> Spiral: 2
IND -> TNF: 1
