I am going to start my first timeline. If  there is anybody who would like to lend me some maps, please do.

The Presidential election of 2016

Jon Huntsman Jr./John Thune vs. Joe Biden/ Mark Pyror

CBS news:

Scott Pelley: Welcome to Election night 2016. After a long battle with the far right, Jon Huntsman won the nomination. He then chose John Thune as his running mate. Joe Biden was nominated and chose Mark Pyror as his running mate. 7:00 pm is coming up and we have our first poll closings. Kentucky has gone to the Governor. Indiana is too early to call. Vermont has gone to the vice president.

Kentucky: Huntsman 58 percent, Biden 42 percent

Indiana: Huntsman 53 percent, Biden 47 percent

Vermont: Biden 62 percent, Huntsman 38 percent

More poll closings will come shortly after these messages.

I think you should continue this, however, because I can see myself voting for that GOP ticket.

A Jon Huntsman/John Thune ticket would be formidable ticket in 2016 and I might be tempted to vote for it, even though I am a Democrat.

Scott Pelley: You might be wondering where is the popular vote. Our Popular vote calculator crashed so we are trying to fix it.

Georgia, it is won by governor Huntsman.
Huntsman 55 percent, Biden 45 percent. Huntsman now has 35 electoral votes. South Carolina is too early to call. Virginia is too close to call.

Bob Schieffer: It is going to be a close race. Huntsman suprisingly has the support of the Tea Party.
Virginia: Huntsman 50 percent, Biden 50 percent.

Scott Pelley; Wait Wait. In the state of South Carolina, we will have to retract our statement as too early to call. It is now too close to call.

What? o__O

Aside from those odd things that Pelley would never say, it's a pretty good TL with those two tickets. I'm really not sure who I would endorse in this actually since I would love Biden on the Democratic candidate, but couldn't see me voting for a ticket that has Pryor on it. Anyways, here's the current map:

Huntsman/Thune - 35 EVs
Biden/Pryor - 3 EVs

Scott Pelley 15 minutes later: South Carolina we can say has been won by the Governor. The Governor now has 44 electoral votes.

7:3Opm: It is now 7 30 pm and we have our new poll closings. In North Carolina. It is too close to call. In Ohio, too close to call. West Virginia is too early to call with Biden Leading.

Bob Schieffer: The Vice President chose Mark Pyror as his running mate. If They win West Virginia, it would be the first time since 1996. Record turnout defines this election, as moderates show up at the highest level ever.

Virginia: Biden 51 percent, Huntsman 49 percent.

Ohio: 0 percent reporting.

North Carolina: 0 percent reporting.
