SENATE BILL: Co-determination Act of 2013 (Veto Override Failed)

I can't imagine anything I can do to make this something I could support. It basically allows labor unions to control the corporate world and gives them immense power to influence our economy. Giving them half the seats means they will be CONTROLLING the entire corporation and taking power away from the shareholders, which would change the way we approach businesses. Instead of investors making decisions, labor unions would and they have no qualifications whatsoever to run any and all the corporations. It would then the unions from labor representatives to controlling shareholders and they could do anything they wanted to do to our economy. That's extremely dangerous and reckless.

If we sign this, we are turning our economy over to the unions. Because this is not something I could ever support, I am VETOING this bill.

I applaud the President for vetoing this bill. This bill would put an unreasonable burden on companies, ignores policy implications, and is quite simply not written all that well.
