*Reverend Charles Eugene Bentley (NP-NE)/Activist James Southgate (NP-NC): 13,679 votes 0.10%, 0 EV
*Other: 1,571 votes, 0.01%, 0 EV

*not shown on the actual results in TCT, so I made a reasonable sounding number and adjusted percentages accordingly.

1896's election was a shocker to the nation. Bryan had adopted labor-friendly rhetoric that was directed at the midwest, while still being extremely pro-silver, successfully locking down the west and south. After locking it down, he did extensive campaigning with his VP, Governor Boies of Iowa, in the states surrounding Iowa. Eventually, the day of the election came, and Bryan sat near his telegraph as results were finally coming in. Iowa would become the state to tip the election, and after days of counting, Bryan was declared the winner by 532 votes.

Closest states: (less than 1% difference)
IA: 251,306-250,774-2,293-2,032-322-94-2
DE: 18,913-18,693-555-498-71-18-1
ND: 23,014-22,717-163-148-36-14-2
WV: 100,444-98,648-890-829-54-26-3

i'll add states that were less than 3% difference soon (OH, MI, MN, IL, MD) but I want to work on my TL right now

Played as W. J. Bryan again, doing extremely well. Looks like my extensive NY campaigning worked.

This was easy mode, though, but I did better than 87% of games as Bryan on Easy.

Absolute Humphreyslide on Easy:

Hubert H. Humphrey/Ted Kennedy: 50.4%, 468 EV
George Wallace/???: 12.0%, 39 EV
Richard Nixon/???: 37.6%, 31 EV

Only 2 states were decided by less than 2%, ND (1.5% diff.) and SD (0.5% diff).

I called for a bombing halt, peace negotiations, and a national healthcare system. Nixon refused to debate, and was found to be behind sabotaging the peace negotiations.

Nixon's best state was Utah (49.8% of the vote)

Did better than 95.6% of Humphrey games on Easy.

Republican operatives, upon hearing of the "Southern Revolt" from the Democrats due to Bryan's comments, declared to McKinley that "The election has already been decided. Bryan has lost much of the south's support, and is likely to scramble and save himself there rather than focus on the midwestern strongholds."

As it turns out, they were wrong:

William Jennings Bryan/Horace Boies: 260 EV, 47.9%
William McKinley/???: 187 EV, 46.9%
John Palmer/???: 0 EV, 5.1%

An amazing win for Truman. Best Dewey did was in VT with 59.8%.

and because I felt like it, here's the senate map:

Dem: 57 (+12)
Rep: 43 (-12)

Changes:
MA: John I. Fitzgerald ELECTED
MI: Frank E. Hook ELECTED
NJ: Archibald S. Alexander ELECTED

Carter/Glenn: 503 EV 53.5%
Ford/???: 32 EV 44.6%
Unpledged: 3 EV

Vermont is >30% because of how close it was, and was still in contention by the time the Electors met. Ford would eventually get an extremely narrow victory there, winning 93,010 votes to Carter's 93,004, a margin of a mere 6 votes.

It seems like all modes are easy when your playing the 1988 election lol. I have no idea why these chose this over 1992 or why they chose 1916 over 1912
I think the reason why the maker of the campaign trail did 1916 over 1912 is because he didn't want to make third parties.

Yeah for some reason the 1968 scenario seems a bit broken with Wallace as a third party.  When playing as Nixon or Humphrey, you still sometimes get prompts aimed towards Wallace.
yeah, and as humphrey you can sabotage Nixon's campaign by having him run far-right on economics. that's how I got my massive victory a few posts above

Dewey on Impossible, tried to be as crazy as possible, repeating several of Henry Wallace's talking points, while advocating for universal healthcare and internationalism except for the Marshall Plan in an attempt to lose the isolationist plains.

President Harry Truman/Senator Alben Barkley: 55.7%, 485 EV
Governor Strom Thurmond/Governor Fielding Wright: 2.3%, 38 EV
Governor Thomas Dewey/Senator John Bricker: 39.2%, 8 EV
Fmr. Vice President Henry Wallace/Senator Glen Taylor: 2.8%, 0 EV

Closest states (Under 3% difference):
KS: 406,822-401,760-12,932
ND: 102,543-100,833-8,678-555

Kennedy 50-state sweep:

Kennedy/Johnson: 61.9%, 531 EV
Unpledged: 0.0%, 6 EV
Nixon/Goldwater: 38.1%, 0 EV

Nixon/Goldwater on impossible, advocated for universal healthcare, civil rights, an apology to the soviets, and criticized Eisenhower at every opportunity.

Closest state was Nebraska, which was 50.8-49.2

Hillary Clinton  211  28.5%
Donald Trump  197  35.7%
Gary Johnson  130  35.8%
By messing around with the game and spamming options that increase Libertarian Support, I managed to get a deadlocked EC in the new 2016 scenario playing as Hillary. The result said this: "No candidate secured a majority in the Electoral College. However, the Republicans won a majority in Congress and will elevate Trump to the Presidency. Time will tell how things go in that regard. As for you, a long and sometimes ambiguous political career seems to be coming to its end."
can you give a little tutorial on how to screw around with the game like this?

When you select an option in the game and confirm it if it has an advisor prompt you can use your keyboard to repeat the response as much as you want with space or enter and it will keep affecting the game. Then when you're satisfied you can hit tab and open the map with space or enter then continue as normal with the wacky world you've made. (This is like a month later lol why did I take so long to respond to this)
no matter what I do this breaks the game. I just get some black screen around the advisor box and I can't get out of it.
