✓ George W. Bush / John Danforth 271 EV 47.4% PV

Al Gore / Joe Lieberman 267 EV 49.5% PV

Ralph Nader 2.6% PV

Pat Buchanan 0.4% PV

The final count came down to Al Gore's home state of Tennessee and John Danforth's home state of Missouri, with Florida being close but not razor-thin.

Ford/Dole on easy. I keep getting creamed by Carter on Normal. The difficulty curve for this year is insane.

President Gerald R. Ford/Senator Bob Dole - 443 EV (51.4%)
Governor Jimmy Carter/Senator Walter Mondale - 95 EV (46.6%)
THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

Congratulations! You have won the 1976 Presidential Election.

Hopefully you can make good on your promises to clean up Washington and change the political and moral culture of the country. If you are successful, there is no reason you cannot run for reelection in 1980. Just be wary of any economic problems, or of some foreign policy crisis that could dent your popularity.

Candidate   Electoral Votes    Popular Votes   Popular Vote %
---- Jimmy Carter   534    48,790,589    59.9%
---- Gerald Ford   4    30,643,361    37.6%
---- Other Candidates   0    1,090,488    1.3%
---- Eugene McCarthy   0    955,001    1.2%

Ummm, Probably a glitch but nevertheless interesting.

I get the sense that 1976 isn't balanced quite right.

Playing as Clinton/Castro. 2012 redux, 332-206 with Florida and Ohio swapping roles as Ohio was the last state called.

Has anyone ever lost as Clinton WITHOUT intentionally losing?

Me as Clinton on hard, with a moderate (better than 53%) result

On impossible I got the above + OH, doing better than 92%.

I roleplayed as Clinton, which means I picked moderate Booker as VP and snubbed Sanders at every opportunity. I also made it a point to never visit Wisconsin. My method of actually winning was to throw lots of mud at Trump.
