I played as Trump, with Scott Brown as his running mate, and I sought to hurt him as much as possible. This is the scenario that was produced:

https://www.americanhistoryusa.com/campaign-trail/game/528280

I've been working on a scenario based upon this game, but with an alternate Democrat in place of Hillary Clinton. And I've posted two threads, with questions. Still haven't gotten any good responses....

First election I manage to win at this, and even then it's an extremely close one:

https://www.americanhistoryusa.com/campaign-trail/game/535752

Clinton: 279 (50.0%)
Trump: 259 (47.3%)

Closest state was Pennsylvania, decided by a 49.22-48.75 margin.

A Progressive/Extreme Isolationist Hughe's in 1916

Candidate/Electoral Votes/Popular Votes/Popular Vote%

Woodrow Wilson        427,   9,628,444,   52.0%
Charles Evans Hughes 104,   7,930,523,   42.9%
Allan Benson/Other 0,   642,379,   3.5%,
James Hanly 0,   302,175,   1.6%,

Charles Hughes run's on a Progressive and Extreme Isolationist agenda. That doesn't go too well and his only improvement from regular 1916 was in the mountain west were he gains 1-5% in a few states.

A Progressive Trump

Hillary Clinton: 460 EV, 73,761,126, 56.2%

Donald Trump: 78 EV, 53,648,655, 40.9%

I ran Trump as a standard liberal in the questions area, granted that didn't go too well as the Conservative and Social Conservative Base abandons him.

Clinton:
68,965,524 Votes
52.32%
332 Electoral Votes

Trump:
58,893,945
44.68%
206 Electoral Votes

I got this result

Carter:
41,128,124 Votes
49.95%
344 or 345 Electoral Votes depending on if Maine splits

Ford:
39,663,458 Votes
48.18%
193 or 194 Electoral Votes depending on if Maine splits

New Jersey was ridiculously close, decided by only 277 votes of 3,083,856 total.
Considering Maine was decided by only 5,022 votes of 475,906 total, Ford might have taken a Congressional District electoral vote but the application will not tell me whether or not that was the case.

I got this result

Lincoln:
1,878,902 Votes
39.86%
181 Electoral Votes

Douglas:
1,380,886 Votes
29.30%
11 Electoral Votes

Bell:
580,349 Votes
12.31%
39 Electoral Votes

Breckenridge:
873,395 Votes
18.53%
72 Electoral Votes

Lincoln won New Jersey, however, 2 of the states 7 electoral votes went to Douglas.

I got this result

Hillary Clinton:
347 Electoral Votes
70,465,651 Votes
53.41%

Donald Trump:
191 Electoral Votes
58,032,233 Votes
43.99%

This seems to be the best I am capable of doing in this game.  I made several attempt to win these states + Arizona and it never works.  I also cannot seem to get the popular vote margin up to the double digit percentile range.

For those who have not realized it yet, the maps I post here are clickable - they send you to the game archive page.

Winning the popular vote as Hughes in 1916 seems impossible, and winning the electoral college still seems very hard.

There's another link here: http://fiction.wikia.com/wiki/File:Map_of_the_2016_Election_Detailed.png.

That link includes various sizes at which you can view the results. And a response to one of my threads would be greatly appreciated.

Make scenarios that aren't just you making maps of you losing at games.

It was actually my intention. I've been trying for a while to create a landslide scenario in which Trump is defeated. I deliberately sunk him so I could get state-by-state breakdown of the results, along with the percentages and so forth. I have made other scenarios not based upon Campaign Trail games.
