I'm really hoping the 2020 scenario gets released soon. Who should the VP options be for both candidates?

Bernie/Warren/Harris/Klobuchar for Biden I'd assume. Maybe It'll just be his actual shortlist but I kinda doubt it.

Played as a more neoliberal Hillary. Clinton/Booker ticket. Very weird map.

I don't have the map but the other day I did the most populist version of Trump, and ignored movement conservatism. Trump/Christine swept the entire upper midwest and won every swing state.

3000 more votes in Michigan and Bush would have won.  Dukakis also lost the popular vote by 1%.

Probably just Bidens actual short list I don't see why not
so for Biden
Harris
Rice
Warren
Whitmer
and for Trump I think it would probably just be Pence and Haley I don't see who else would fit the only person their were rumors of Trump replacing Pence with was Haley

2016 with Hillary/Bernie, running a hardcore progressive campaign (on easy)

And as a bonus, the Senate!

Used the advisor prompt exploit to repeat the Carter Playboy incident four or five times for a 60-39 Ford blowout:

Absolutely destroyed Nixon as Humphrey/Connally, ran against the war, triumphed in the debate, and exposed Nixon's treason, ran otherwise a liberal platform including calling for single payer healthcare. The map looks less like a competitive election and more like a slight, and only slight Republican over performance from 1964.

One of the strangest games I've ever run. Played as Lincoln on impossible and tanked as hard as I could using the Advisor Exploit. Weirdest thing I noticed was Bell got -2 EC Votes in New Jersey.

I did better than 92.3% of players as Romney 2012 on Normal.

Mitt Romney: 311 electoral votes
President Obama: 227 electoral votes

The closest state was Nevada which I won by 0.12%. The next closest states I won were Virginia (0.67%), Iowa (0.78%), New Hampshire (1.00%) and Colorado (1.46%). Pennsylvania was the tipping point (2.19%). The closest state Obama won was Wisconsin (1.29%). I won the national popular vote by 1.14% so 256 electoral votes were to the left of the popular vote and 282 electoral votes were to the right of the popular vote.

Could you explain what the advisor exploit is?

Won 1948 on Impossible despite narrowly losing Ohio and California plus some smaller Western states because I won New York.

Managed to get this map as Humphrey on Impossible.

Congrats, Alben Barkley. What a weird map. I've never had New York vote for Truman while Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming vote for Dewey.

It might have something to do with the fact that I never visited the Plains/Mountains states when prompted. I think I did the Midwest three times and west coast once (or maybe it was each twice). I lost all those states by like a point or less. I did visit New York 3 times as you see plus for the final day, but I was actually kinda surprised I won it. Was down there in the final poll, didn’t visit the east coast when prompted. Expected to win CA+OH instead, more like the real map.

By the way, that’s a pretty impressive map for 1968 Humphrey on Impossible. I assume you won the debate and exposed Nixon’s treachery? Seems I usually have to get lucky enough to get both to win at that difficulty.

Yes. I also campaigned in California and Kentucky specifically to maximize the electoral vote total if I happened to pick the most favorable random options.

Was able to recreate Nixon’s 1968 map on Impossible:

And I did it with Rockefeller as my VP, attending the debate, taking moderate positions on everything, disavowing racism and the Southern Strategy, and not committing treason.

See! It was possible!

Sadly, did not win New York however despite choosing Rockefeller and despite heavily targeting it. Very close though.

Please explain.  I've heard of people editing the javascript to change the game's difficulty, which explains those really bizarre Nader and Wallace wins, but never heard of being able to pick which questions one gets.

When you select an option in the game and confirm it if it has an advisor prompt you can use your keyboard to repeat the response as much as you want with space or enter and it will keep affecting the game. Then when you're satisfied you can hit tab and open the map with space or enter then continue as normal with the wacky world you've made. (This is like a month later lol why did I take so long to respond to this)

Also got the exact 1968 result as Nixon/Romney without treason or tricks. Ran a moderate campaign. PV was closer than RL however. Much closer.

Thanks for the response.  I've tried this and it doesn't seem to work.  Crashes the game every time.  Campaign dialogue box is too big to see where I'm going with the tab key. o_o
