Nathanistan would be rather similar to the rural portions of Norway and Sweden (though presumably a bit warmer); a dominant social-democratic element to politics despite the presence of a (heavily regulated) free market, and an emphasis on tradition and social order. Socially tolerant but somewhat traditional Protestant churches would be religiously dominant, and the country overall would be rural and agrarian, with most urban areas being quaint small towns.

The Polaqi Federation mixes elements of Arabic and Western Slavic culture. Its residents are generally mesmerized by memes involving Brazilian politicians, and of course, they cannot into space.
