Expected. Identity reigns supreme. And to the extent that class comes into play, it is simply another identity to be celebrated (let's have a tolerance parade for the poors, or "raise" their minimum wage while we cut their hours). That's why Dems squealed over Romney's 47% comments; it was a classist remark, and Dems will tolerate accelerating wealth inequality, but saying mean things is unacceptable.
